Final Day newbie question

Just a thought re self debark. The last time we did it was at Ft. Lauderdale on the Silhouette and we were to meet in the Main Dining Room on Deck 3 but the actual deck we walked off was Deck 2. So be aware you may have to take your bags up or down a flight of stairs. We did this with some effort....and found ourselves in the Customs/Immigration line behind a couple who had the first number of people who had put out their luggage the night before. The times for self-debark are only about 10-15 minutes earlier than the first group that has put out their luggage. So right then I decided that on our next cruise we would put our luggage out the night before and be in the first group off.

Another thing to consider is when you are trying to get an elevator with all your bags to go down to the assigned meeting place....every elevator that stops is full of people. If we were unencumbered by our luggage we could have just walked down to Deck 2.

Just a thought.

On our cruise on Silhouette we encountered the same problem, Celebrity did have two men there helping with the luggage. We also had the added problem of one of the lines being closed to exit the ship because Fort Lauderdale Fire/Rescue was coming in presumable to go to the medical center.
