Buying wine

Am new to RC. On our other cruises we bought wine in the MDR at dinner. If we didn't finish it, they brought it to us the next evening, no fee. Is this RC's practice also?

Thanks,

Marguerite

Yes, they will recork and hold a bottle until the next night for no fee. We have also had an unfinished bottle from a specialty restaurant sent to the MDR with no problem.

You can also take what's left back to your cabin to finish there if you like. I do this almost every night - nice to have a little wine on the balcony before dinner. I buy the wine/dine package. :D

As you are new to RCI you may not be aware that you can also bring two 750 ml bottles of wine (wine only) per stateroom on board at embarkation as well. However if you take them to the MDR you may be assessed a $25 corkage fee. They are nice to have in your stateroom and you can bring glasses of wine from your stateroom with you anywhere - including the MDR - on the ship.

We do the 7 bottle Platinum package.

You can have unfinished bottles sent to your room or save it for the next night and have it brought to you in any restaurant including the Windjammer.

We've also had unopened bottles sent to our room to enjoy on the balcony - some folks haven't been so lucky.

On the night we leave Puerto Rico we love to sit in the open air - aft seating of the Windjammer with a bottle of wine and have dinner. Not many people there so the wait staff is very attentive.

Hi all

Were travelling as a family of 8 and have too looked at the wine package for dinner in MDR, however noticing when looking at the other beverage packages if you purchase the select and above package you get 20% off Wine.

I think on working this out it is substantially cheaper than purchasing the wine package, your also not tied to a certain range of wine.

Hope this helps for anyone considering the package.

I'm forgetting the wine, Bring on the strawberry daiquiri . :o

The other 7 can drink the wine :)
