prohibition party on Oasis ??

Hi all ,

Has anyone done this party? Do people dress in 20's style dresses? My dd will be 22 when we cruise in August, she is not a drinker and neither am I but this sounded like fun.Could any one tell us anything about it? Looking for something to do for some mother daughter time and she is a fan of anything "old" or artsy. She loved the idea of a 20' s styled party and laughed saying " prohibition...your not suppose to drink , but you do. Its so bad :-) "

Thank You!!

I'm going to the prohibition party next week. My girl will be in a flapper dress, I'll be dressed like a gangster. All I know about it is it's $25pp and I think 3 drinks are included and snacks. Not sure about music, where it is, or how long it is.

We did this on our Allure sailing and had a blast. it happened to be on a formal night. Some folks wore flapper or like flapper dresses... some guys wore pinstripe and gangster hats like the look of the 20's. I made a headband out of stretch sequence from the local fabric store notions and added a couple feathers and a boa to my regular dress. It was light enough for travel and didn't take up much space. DH wore an off white jacket with black suit pants and had sort of a Bogart look. Others just went in normal wear. I dont drink and DH only drank beer. They had plenty of non alcoholic drinks. The entire experience so well done. The crew played rolls and got us all involved. definitely a must do in my humble opinion. It is done in a secluded club that all guests are escorted through the back halls of the ship. Wonderful band and just a classy party. We got a call in our stateroom of where to be at what time and "the password". very hush hush like a speak easy! Fun evening!

We went and had a great time. Some of it is a little over the top but is great fun and something different. Most people were were dressed up in 20's flapper dresses for women, some more elaborate than others with terrific accessories. They taught you how to do the charleston if you don't know how to do it and everyone danced. They also took pictures.
