Anyone having success combining the savings certificate with the state resident rate? After the website change I was told that was not allowed. Thanks.

I had a saving certificate and booked a cruise and months later a resident discount came up, called my TA and it got applied. So, no trouble.

I don't see any restriction on fare type. My guess is it's just another quirk of the website. You should be able to call Royal and get it applied.

We had the same experience. We had a resident discount and an OBC promotion and the TA told us we could not use the C&A savings certificate.

You were not allowed the C&A savings certificate because of the OBC promotion, not because of the resident discount.

I submitted a certificate several weeks ago and it has not shown up on my account yet. Final payment is not due until February. I have emailed RCCL but have not received a reply. I will let everyone know what they say.

If you call RCI and let them know that there is a savings certificate for your cruise they apply it immediately. No need to send it in.

With the above, you cannot use a C&A balcony discount or shareholder credit.

The shareholder OBC combines with NOTHING offered by RC. :(
