Deployment schedule: let the guessing begin!

Recommended Posts

Navigator has already been refurbished and is in her home port of Galveston until 2015 when she will leave for Asia.

She will be replaced by the Liberty of the Seas.

Yes. That is what I was referring to. They did not officially state that Explorer would get the exact revitalization as Navigator, but it seems to be the case.

They have not deployed Navigator, nor Liberty, but there has been much speculation to them doing that.

Is this already OFFICIAL?

What do you all want with Asia?? There are already two Voyager's, and Legend is due to be the third ship for Asia/Australia.

IMHO it would not make any sense to send Navigator to Asia as well.

She has been refurbished in February, and for the Asian gemblers she should be refurbished again, to have a larger Casino!!

The only possible candidate for Asia could be Explorer, but I also doubt this...

Explorer would be the most likely option seeing as it is already listed as one of the ships that would call in Singapore. If this wasn't the case then why would they have listed down this ship? There is also the possibility that explorer's name is being used to reserve the port... thats what I think. :3

What website do you use?

When I look at the Marina Bay website, I only see Mariner and Voyager and then I can only get one year out.

The current Legend call on the 8th of May 2016 is a turn-around call. This would fit with a Sydney to HKG sailing, followed by a HKG to Dubai and then on to the MED.

This would be similar to the April /May 2015 re-deployment of Rhapsody first to Singapore and then on to Dubai and the MED.

I went to the Grand Cayman Port Authority website and plugged Sept 2015 into their calendar. It says that Liberty OTS will visit every other Wed and that Freedom OTS and Independence OTS will alternate Thurs visits.

http://www.caymanport.com/shipschedules.php

This suggests to me that one of those ships will be at Galveston. Freedom OTS has already been claimed by Port Canaveral for 2015, so the rumors about Liberty could be correct.

Springaussie - as much as I'd like to see Liberty in Oz waters wouldn't the lack of tenders be a major disadvantage for the Pacific Islands where Rhapsody frequented? Or do you think that RC are deliberately trying to reduce capacity to those destinations and let the other cruise lines have the lion's share and instead focus on somewhere else that can take the bigger ship - there's a new theory to throw around. Splendour makes the most sense in my mind from a "like for like" substitution. Having said that, I'm going to sit and hope with all my fingers crossed that it's Liberty.....:D

I think you will find Voyager with the newly installed tenders will do the South Pacific and Liberty will do what Voyager is doing now. Royal have not announced yet how Voyager will be utilised with the new tenders. 2014/15 season Royal are running with no use of any new ports using the tenders.

Liberty of the Seas is definitely not 100% sure for Oz. But the Royal Caribbean sales reps are telling travel agents a bigger ship is coming for the 2015 / 16 season. The Sydney Ports schedule shows longer turnaround possibly for a larger ship from late November - March. The rumoured Explorer cruise from Europe to Sydney October 2015 is doable but does not make sense with port visits in this region.

This thread is about guessing and I am just putting my view across.

Adventure of the Seas Southern Caribbean sailings outs of San Juan are now able to be booked for May 2015 - April 2016. Need to call RCL to book. Prices are great in May.

I just checked the Grand Caymen port schedule. Liberty seems to first show up on May 20, 2015. Then she is there every other week thru' August 2015. That was as far as I searched. Sounds pretty sure she will replace NOS from Galveston, and with that same old schedule. I want to know where she is between her last shown April, 2015 cruise and May 20. I know there will be a repo from Florida to Texas and am hoping it is a good itenerary. But it can't be that many nights long!

So which one is sailing from Galveston?

Navigator stays in Galveston until at least December. Port hours of 10:30 to 6 PM are the same as current schedule.

Liberty calls from 07:00 to 16:00 so is most likely another itinerary she is currently taking over from December.
