jamesnnb Posted January 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2014 We have mostly sailed on Princess and RCCL and always mini suites/jr. suites. We prefer Princess over RCCL with the exception of the coffee maker that is provided in the jr. suites on RCCL. What are the opinions out there? Some bring them but they must have an auto shutoff.
24639 Posted January 23, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2014 My OPINION is that I would love one in my cabin in steerage on Princess. But, alas, I will have to make do with the handsome young men they send with my coffee via room service. I'll let the experts tell you all the rules and regs that you did not ask for. paul929207 Posted January 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2014 Since the time I get up varies, I find it easier to just run up to the buffet for a cup of coffee or tea.
Jim Avery Posted January 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2014 We would love to have a coffee maker in the cabin/suite as well. Room service was very good last trip on the Star but still like a quick cup first thing in the am to clean out the cobwebs.:D
Larryh86GT Posted January 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) One of my favorite things about a cruise is having a pot of fresh coffee delivered to our cabin every morning. :) Edited January 23, 2014 by Larryh86GT

Larryh86GT Posted January 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted January 23, 2014 No waiting for it. Usually the knock on the cabin door is our wake up call.
Steviewonder1 Posted January 23, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2014 I don't drink coffee, but my DW sends me up to the Horizon Deck to get two cups of coffee for her. We bring her sweetner with us and I heat the cups with hot water used for Tea to keep them hotter for the trip back down to our PH Suite.
jamesnnb Posted January 24, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Coffee makers aside (that was just the thing we liked in the RCCL Jr. Suites over Princess Mini Suites) -- those who have sailed on both lines: which do you prefer? Mini's on Princess or Jr's on RCCL, and why?
Loonbeam Posted January 24, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Bear in mind Minis on Princess are really just RCCL deluxe balconies. They do NOT include suite perks of any kind, just a glass of horrid champagne and extra space. There are no special suite attendants, etc. on Princess Coffee makers aside (that was just the thing we liked in the RCCL Jr. Suites over Princess Mini Suites) -- those who have sailed on both lines: which do you prefer? Mini's on Princess or Jr's on RCCL, and why?
