The Trace Cruise that Wasn't....am I being unreasonable?

Seems to me that your beef should be directly with Trace -- not others who were not responsible for his behavior.

 

Take the ticket and the meet and greet. Now that you know who/what he really is ............ decide if you really want to go out of your way to see him.

 

I watched him on Celebrity Apprentice and was not impressed by his condescending ways.

I concur. Actually, we saw him perform several years ago at Mohegan Sun casino. It was our first visit and we joined their players club which entitled us to free tickets to see the lounge act. Alas, it was booked that night. We stopped by one of the kiosks to inquire about where we could spent our points. Happened to be a manager there who asked how we were enjoying things and if we were seeing a show. Told him the show was book but we were having fin anyway. He asked if we still wanted to see the show. Sure. So he picked up a phone and directed us to the box office.

 

I gave the gal our names and she asked if we wanted to sit on the floor. Uh, there are chairs there, right? Yes, of course. So, when we got back to our room I looked at the tickets to confirm the time - they were not for the lounge act at all but two free tickets for trace's show in the main arena plus two free drinks. Place was packed and there we were front and center. Alas, we ended up leaving halfway into his act - not all that.

Do I think some form of compensation would be nice... Yes.

 

Do I think any will be forthcoming (other than the free concert tickets)... No.

 

The simplest way to calculate any compensation would be to find out what appearance fees were paid to him, divide that by the number of cruisers and there you have it.

If you go to a big festival type concert and one, two, even three of the acts cancel, you get no refund. I'd take what was offered, because I don't see anything else coming along.

I would hire an attorney and sue Trace Adkins. Face facts: he is the source of the problem and why you didn't get the cruise that you paid for.

Sorry to the OP, I'm sure you were disappointed. I hope you have some sort of satisfying end to the whole incident. If you don't after a while, find a way to let it go. Life is hard enough to get through without carrying extra anger. Perhaps you could write to this Trace (Adkins?) person directly, maybe they will do something to appease you.
