Hi friends:)....I am cruising on Wednesday (yes, an odd day);)...going

on a 3 night cruise.....FOLLOWED by an 8 night cruise:D so really going

for 11 nights.....same ship....ahhh......

Anyway, I had to run some errands today and found a wristlet and

it was on a big sale at Dillard's:D.......for anyone intersted, they are

having a fabulous sale on handbags/accessories.

I got 2 small zippered Lesportsac bags.....great for makeup and odds

and ends.....and the wristlet....it is sort of bronzy color...I think it

has some gold color in it but the sales gal said bronze.....anyway,

I think it will go as a neurtal color.....I normally use black and have

a couple of crossbody bags I use (for nights that are NOT formal).

I am going to try the wristlet for this trip and see how it goes. It is

not too big and not too small....just right:).....I will see if I can find

a picture......it is a Cole Haan...was originally 80.00 reduced to 44.00

and I got it for 25.00! Oh, the Lesportsac bags? One was only 11.00

and the other 8.00!

Sounds like a great shopping find!

I would be concerned with leaving the wristlet behind at the dining table, bar or blackjack table. My crossbodies never leave my body, so no chance of getting lost. If you can manage to keep up with it, I think it's a cute alternative!

Oh...I never thought of that.....but I am going to try it this cruise:)

And yes, the crossbody stays on but sometimes? I think it might be

nice to not have the extra item on me;)....and I will be careful,

thanks for the reminder:)

I use a wristlet for dinner and night only. Works great......like a clutch and can dress up or down. For excursions and port though, I always take my crossbody...........don't want to trust my passport in something that could be left behind.

Oh...anytime I am off the ship I use a crossbody too!:)

I used one of my wristlets at a casino last weekend, and it never left my wrist, so I had no fear of leaving it behind. Obviously I'd take it off to dine and what-not, but when at theaters, etc, I usually just hangs out on my wrist.

I like the look of the wristlet but I would be afraid I'd leave it somewhere too. I'm glad somebody else thinks like me. lol

Lois, I'm so jealous that you're leaving on a cruise in a few days! Have a great time!

Thanks...well, we shall see.....now that you both said that? I will just

have to make the extra effort to keep it with me. It is just for the

evenings too.....so if I leave it somewhere? It will be in one of the

bars;)

Lois, I'm sure the wristlet will be fine. :) I'm so used to having a big purse and I either put it on a chair or on the floor next to me when I'm out to eat at a restaurant. If I had the wristlet, I wouldn't know where to leave it while I had dinner. And now I think I'm thinking about it way too much.:p

Oh...that part? Guess what? I have what is called a "Purse Caddy"....

it is a hook that holds the strap and so the purse just hangs down.

The top of the caddy sits on the table.....fantastic invention:D

Hi,:) I got mine years and years ago at Mileskimball.com (I think:confused:)

But you can find them on Amazon and other places sell them too.

If you just google "purse hanger" or "purse caddy" I bet you get alot

of hits on it.

Check a Hallmark store for the purse caddy, I've seen and bought them there.

Forgetting a wristlet? I don't understand, anytime, except for eating dinner, it should be on your wrist. If someone wouldn't forget their purse, why would they forget a wristlet? I use them a lot to take to dinner and just bought a new all purpose black one.

That's cute. I saw another one that was a purse too. :)

I'm amazed they can hold the weight of a purse without falling off the table. confused0006.gif

I wondered that too when I first got mine but waaalaa;).....it works

fine!:D....seems to adjust perfectly to whatever strap you put on the

hook!

I had a handbag hook or two many years ago, now you have me thinking I wonder where they are, mind you it is just something else to carry around...lol
Lol. The good news is it just fits right into the purse itself when not in use, and takes up practically no space. Mine is usually too buried to really be useful, but I still love it.
