Walk off

We're on the Royal next week in the Caribbean. We live in NYC and have to get home ASAP. How do we get assigned a time to walk off? Thanks.

A form will be sent to the cabin asking about this. Return it to the Purser's desk ASAP as the walkoff slots can be filled.

You'll receive a form to fill out during your cruise, usually about three days before the end of your cruise. Fill out your flight # and time. You can indicate that you want self-disembarkation. You'll be assigned a time to meet. Princess has done "silent disembarkation" for years in that announcements are only in specific lounges, not throughout the ship so you won't know when you're disembarking unless you're in the lounge.

Just got off the Emerald Princess at Fort Lauderdale. We didn't get a form to request a specific time that we would like to leave the ship to make an airline connection or just to walk off. We received Orange 4 Walkoff at 9:20. Went down to the purser's desk the next morning and had them assign Early Walkoff #3 to leave at 7:20. First walkoff was at 7:00 which started a few minutes after 7:00. Our number was called about 7:22 and we were at the hotel to pick up our car by 7:50.

Just off the Royal today. We got forms on Tuesday to fill out. We said we wanted walk off and we got group B. Group B met in the Casino at 6:15 and we were there around 6. We walked off at 6:15 exactly and were through customs in a few minutes and out to the curb for a taxi. There was a wait because they were waiting for 2 sheriffs to show up to handle the flow of traffic. Finally they let the taxi's in the port area around 6:30 and we were on our way back to our park and cruise hotel and picked up our car.

Turn your form in immediately and you should get group A. They left the ship about 5 minutes prior to us. We didn't turn our form in until around Thursday.

Most Ft. Lauderdale ships let you off that early.
