Which Terminal United Air from San Francisco

We are flying from San Francisco USA to London Heathrow arriving June 3 which looks like it is the day prior to opening of Terminal 2. Does anyone know which terminal United comes into. Looks like it is either T1 or T4.

We are flying back United to Houston later in the month. We are thinking it most likely uses T2. We are trying to figure out which hotels near Heathrow would be best for the return. It sounds like it is the Hoppa Bus serves the terminals.

We are looking at several along Bath St. Would this be a good choice. We were also considering staying at Windsor.

Thankyou

Mary

Bath Rd is where the overwhelming majority of the airport hotels are located. We've used the Renaissance, Sheraton Heathrow and Holiday Inn M4 J4 (About 3/4 mile from Bath Rd but still served by the Hoppa Bus) and all have been good, with the Renaissance probably being the best(If you get a room at the back you can watch the planes take off literally 300yds away, the soundproofing is excellent though and you don't hear a thing. The price of the Hoppa Bus is the same no matter which hotel you stay in.

Don't think the Hoppa covers Windsor, so you'd need to use public transport or taxi/car service.

The United SFO flights use T1 currently - as you say they will all move to T2 during your visit (hopefully!)

Plenty of good advice on this board about Bath Road hotels, which are convenient for the central area of LHR (T1-3). They are all served by the Hoppa bus. But personally I would have a night in London (or Windsor, which you mention) and travel to LHR the day of your flight.
