Does Princess Island have on demand movies in the cabin or DVD rentals?

 

Sometimes we like to watch a movie after dinner.

 

If so, what is the cost?

I recently cruised on the Sapphire. There was no "On Demand" but they offer several movie channels. They have a Romance Channel and A Family Channel, old TV shows on a channel, etc. On the main channel 21 at 9:00 PM it seemed they typically ran a feature movie. On my cruise a few of those which I watched were Now You See Me, Gravity, Lee Daniel's The Butler. I would imagine this is similar on all Princess ships, except Royal and Regal.

 

I think TV and movies leave a lot to be desired on Princess, just kinda meh.

Only the Royal and the Regal have on demand movies and television shows. There is no cost for the on demand programs on those two ships. Hope it is rolled out to other ships sometime in the future.

To add to the previous posts, only full suites have DVD players. They give you a list of DVD's you can request and there is no extra fee above the cost of your full suite.

I wish Ruby Princess had had that last year. They barely had 'several channels' running, most were ship info related, and one which showed a crackling fireplace (since it was December).

bummer. We have the late dining, so no in room movie for us at 9PM unless we go to the buffer ;-(

 

Guess we'll bring a few movies to watch on our iPad.

Is it possible to connect a DVD player to the tv's on the Ruby? We have no problem packing our portable along. We used it last on the Pacific Princess. Our cabin steward helped us get it set up.
