PunkinB Posted February 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2014 This coming Friday will be our first cruise with Celebrity. We usually cruise RCCL. Is there a different dress code for the ships on Celebrity than there is on RCCL? Is it ok to wear jeans or athletic wear? ymamcricket Posted February 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2014 My family and I took a cruise with celebrity 2 years ago and my son did not wear a suit coat for formal night. No one said anything. Casual night he war a collared shirt with casual shorts. I think adults would have to follow the dress code a little more. Btw. Taking a cruise Monday on Connie with family. Little Nell Posted February 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 15, 2014 What proportion of guests go to the Main Dining Room on formal night? Are jeans acceptable in the MDR on non formal nights?

rjrpar Posted February 15, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Dress codes(and actual dress) on X and RCCL are the same. Just have fun!
dandee2 Posted February 15, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Our 2 son's will be with us. They will be dress properly but no jacket for them. If they get turned around at the MDR, I won't make a scene and they know were to go.
denby Posted February 15, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2014 We just completed a five day cruise on Constellation. For the first time ever my husband did not take a jacket for dinner. He wore a dress shirt, tie and dress pants. Saw many others dressed similarly. We were prepared to eat elsewhere on formal night if there was an issue. Enjoy your cruise. BettyCruiser Posted February 15, 2014 #10 Share Posted February 15, 2014 We were on the Connie feb 3rd cruise I was surprised to see shorts In the dining room and Tuscan grille for dinner, definitely a lot more casual than I'm used to on celebrity. Qmadam Posted February 15, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Just got home from the 5 night cruise on the Connie. There were many men without jackets or ties on formal night. They did have nice dress shirts on though. This cruise was very relaxed. Everyone did however seem to make an effort to look nice, no jeans or sleeveless tanks at dinner. That said there were a few tuxes and gowns also.
phoenix_dream Posted February 15, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 15, 2014 More of Celebrity's famous consistent inconsistency:rolleyes:. Love the cruise line but wish they would be consistent in enforcing rules, or eliminate them all together (I vote for the former)
