Long Beach Hilton

Hi Everyone,

 

We're planning a cruise in November and are travelling into LA about 3 days prior to our cruise. Have any of you stayed at (or are you familiar with) the Long Beach Hilton Hotel?

 

Any comments, good or bad, are welcome. I am ideally looking for something that is near a decent beach and some restaurants and bars.

Great hotel and great location for sight seeing.

This hotel is right across the street from my office. It is walking distance (5 blocks) from "restaurant row" (Pine Street), and next door to a "Daily Grill" (So. Calif. restaurant chain). It is NOT within walking distance of any beach. You would have to take the red bus to Belmont Shore (about 2 miles). It is within distance via the red shuttle bus of the Queen Mary, the Long Beach Aquarium, and Performing Arts Center.

Thanks Hotmike. We want a decent place since we're spending 3 pre-cruise days. Got a govt rate of about $100/night.
