Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Does anybody have any current pics or links for the bar menus on Constellation. I tried to look online but everything is so old. I am torn between upgrading or not with the drink package. I know the Martini Bar is the big thing. Also how about specialty teas and coffees. Lastly a wine/champagne by the glass list with prices. Sailing in a few weeks so any help would be appreciated.
Cruise a holic Posted February 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) Does anybody have any current pics or links for the bar menus on Constellation. Lastly a wine/champagne by the glass list with prices. Sailing in a few weeks so any help would be appreciated. I would definately upgrade. The martini bar is excellent and you can enjoy the wonderful martini's. Regarding coffee, all of the coffee drinks are available with both drink packages. You can get Speciality water with both, but not Evian or Pelligrino- only with the upgraded package. You can also get canned soda with the upgraded package, vs. soda on tap. The most important fact to note is that any drink that costs more then (I believe) $7 you have to pay for. Not just the difference, but the entire cost of the drink if you do not upgrade. In addition, you can also enjoy more expensive wines by the glass. Enjoy your cruise Edited February 25, 2014 by Cruise a holic
Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Good to know about the soda as I would like to have a can or two to take to my room
MissBreezy Posted February 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Why not wait until you get on the ship and decide? I have upgraded but because DH is mostly a beer drinker we were unsure if he should upgrade as well. Celebrity told us the upgrade fee is the same whether you do it in advance or once you get on the ship. They also told us if DH sticks with the classic package for a day or two and finds that he would prefer to upgrade he can purchase an upgrade for the remaining days of the cruise and be billed for only those days vs. the full 11 nights of our cruise. HTH!
Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted February 25, 2014 I know I can do that but I am a pre planner so waiting is killing me. I would probably only upgrade myself also as hubby is not a huge drinker and when he does drink what he likes is under the classic package on their website. Rare welshfamily Posted February 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Can I ask why cans are not included on the classic package? They are only $2.50 This would be a deal breaker for my adult children as they vastly prefer cans to the soda pump. They are not heavy drinks and are happy with the elite drinks/vouchers. We may well change their packages to the OBC if this is the case.
flparalegal Posted February 25, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2014 We sailed the Reflection at Thanksgiving and both had the classic drink package. My husband drinks Manhattans and beer and glass of wine at dinner while I drink Rob Roys, wine with dinner and after dinner drink of Sambuca and all were included in the classic package. Additionally, we were able to get cans of soda and bottles of water to take to the cabin.

ShadowzBtlr Posted February 25, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Please note that a can of soda CAN be obtained with the Classic package, so you can obtain one (at a time) to take back to your room. Also, with the Classic package you can obtain any beverage that is $8.00 or less.
Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted February 25, 2014 So with the classic you can get canned soda or only fountain? This is not a huge decider for me one way or the other but I have friends sailing and I am sharing info with them

pxy cda Posted February 25, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Am I right in thinking that San Pellegrino water is only available on the upgraded package? Correct. You can get the "no name" water with the classic. But Evian, San Pellegrino are only on the premium
Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted February 25, 2014 I have been trying to find a list of wines and champagnes by the glass for prices to see what they would fall under with no luck. Does anybody know if Asti is available by the glass and if so what package it falls under
Cruise a holic Posted February 25, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Correct. You can get the "no name" water with the classic. But Evian, San Pellegrino are only on the premium If you go on the Celebrity website, they will give all of the details. The package is different. While some say they got canned soda, you techincally aren't supposed to get it. IMO worth the difference as we drink Evian, Pelligrino and enjoy Martini's. About $11.50 per day additional, including tip.

Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Classic Non-Alcoholic Package In addition to enjoying your favorite Coca Cola can and fountain sodas selections such as Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta Orange and Coke Zero, you may also enjoy fresh squeezed and bottled juices, premium coffees and teas, and non-premium bottled water. They will give you a glass with ice along with the can. It was great, we would take a couple of unopened cans back to our cabin to enjoy on the balcony! JohnSnowGOT Posted February 25, 2014 #21 Share Posted February 25, 2014 Well I was in the same situation as the OP. Having never been on Celebrity and having no knowledge of the drink prices or bars.....I reasoned...The basic package was free!!! So why not spend a few more pounds and enjoy the very best Celebrity has to offer!!! I am certainly worth a meager $11 extra per day. Plus who wants to be one of those people drinking out of a small martini glass in the Martini bar... not me! I can save $$ or pinch that penny somewhere else.....I don't want to be reminded as to how cheap I am every time I order a cocktail and have to ask if it is covered under the "basic" package. Let go! Soccrmom65 Posted February 25, 2014 Author #22 Share Posted February 25, 2014 I would not say not getting the upgrade makes you cheap...yes it is nice to have all the options but normally on a cruise my bar bill wont even touch 200.00 so that tells you how much we drink. I don't mind paying for the upgrade if I feel I will use it but if not I would rather donate to the casino or relax during a massage. Sorry just my opinion but I was kind of offended by the way it was posted.
Rare KKB Posted February 26, 2014 #23 Share Posted February 26, 2014 Please note that a can of soda CAN be obtained with the Classic package, so you can obtain one (at a time) to take back to your room. Also, with the Classic package you can obtain any beverage that is $8.00 or less. Not any drink; only beers $6/less. Cocktails & wine $8/less. "Regarding coffee, all of the coffee drinks are available with both drink packages." Is this true? On the Celebrity website it says the classic gets "premium coffee", while the premium plan gets "specialty coffee". I am reading this that you need the premium plan to get lattes, cappucinos, etc.
Chinook Wind Posted February 26, 2014 #24 Share Posted February 26, 2014 "Does anybody know if Asti is available by the glass and if so what package it falls under?" They have Prosecco and the Classic package covers it.

Under the Cafe al Bacio, all of the espresso based drinks are included in both packages with the exception of the "Other Favorites and More Favorites." These drinks are only allowed if you have the premium, but it has been reported that some people with the classic have been able to get these drinks if the barista is in a good mood. You can scroll up and down with the link below to see other price lists such as the Martini Bar, Molecular Bar, etc. http://www.thepreismans.com/ecarib_reflection_menus.htm#bacio Edited February 26, 2014 by SNJCruisers
