Are you sure you have the name right.. I don't find anyone by that name listed on the Member list..
No one with less than 300 posts shows on the member list. (Until a few months ago everyone showed, even those with zero posts.)

See http://boards.cruisecritic.com/memberlist.php?order=asc&sort=posts&pp=30&page=1

That explains why I couldn't find someone on the list.

I knew they posted, knew I had the right name but they weren't on the

List and I didn't know why.

Thanks.

With that cut-off level, the Members List only contains 20,587 of our 1,088,830+ members, so over 98% don't show! :) Edited by jtl513

Wow.....

It IS a big number not listed.

Shows many come, register and maybe only post before their cruise and either don't return to CC or don't post again.

Besides ... even if a person IS in the Member List, with searching still disabled we still can't find any of their posts! ;)

When using google (and I believe yahoo) search, you can use the following:

site:boards.cruisecritic.com cruisering

this tells the search engine to report only matches on the requested site.

Doing so for "cruisering" does not seem to show a member posting by that name, using "jtl513" (for example) brings up a bunch. From that I would think that cruisering has never been used on this forum

I tried that too Rich. The reason that I show up is that I have been mentioned a number of times both in post titles and bodies, but that may not be the only criteria.

I think innlady1/Sheila has it right ... the OP meant to type cruiseking. :)

funny how search engines show different results for different people. I just tried

site:boards.cruisecritic.com scrustyrock

and the first page was full of entries on cruise critics for that name

Okay -- I went to the Member List -- went to "C". Moved down to page 56and just went from one page to another and discovered that no one named "cruisering" is listed.

Check out this:

cruiseri find.gifAugust 25th, 2007376 cruiserjanet find.gifApril 24th, 20062,715

But that doesn't prove there is no cruisering member. If s/he has less than 300 posts they won't show.

Hopefully the search feature will soon be fixed as per an announcement posted at the top of the main page by a support specialist..I'm really lost without it!

agree - I need my ports boards and the searching function :D

Where is cruisering? I would love to read about your cruises.

If you mean cruiserking he posted yesterday in Cruise Discussion Topic in the Ask a Cruise Question forum. He answered a question in the thread entitled Book Tours at Dock? I noticed his name on a post I was reading.

If cruiserking is the one you are asking about he has over 3600 posts so you should be able to locate him in the Member List and possibly find some reviews by him if he has written any.
