JFontaine Posted March 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2014 I just thought it would be a good way to avoid the buffet on the first day, I'm not a crepe person. A sandwich while I'm unpacking and settling in sounds good. Thank you.

The Mast Grill should also be open for a hamburger, and I believe the Aqua Spa Café will be open as well.
jsf Posted March 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2014 I know that embarkation day is a day off for some of the staff so I would think that it might take awhile to get served, I would ask when boarding the ship when service starts. J.
4774Papa Posted March 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2014 I don't think room service would kick in that soon after embarkation. Try Bistro on Five. It is quiet, food is great and only five dollars.

neverbeenhere Posted March 7, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 7, 2014 Avoid all the crowds, board the ship later. Enjoy a late check out at your hotel, leave your luggage there and go enjoy lunch in town, hit the ship near the end of acceptable time. No bistro, no buffet, no problem. PartyAllDaTyme Posted March 7, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 7, 2014 For what it's worth, we had room service for dinner around 6pm on our last embarkation day, actual sailaway was 8pm.

fninsn Posted March 7, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 7, 2014 (edited) Is the Porch on the Silhouette typically open on embarkation day? Sent from my iPad using Forums On our Reflection cruise in February, we were able to have lunch at The Porch on embarkation day. We enjoyed the food and service, but it was very hot that day in Miami and it was quite uncomfortable. I think we would have enjoyed it more if we were sailing and there was a slight breeze.
