Good morning everyone as we began a relaxing, and probably very warm day at sea. Pretty funny to say relaxing, since that’s really all we’ve been doing for more than a week.

Saw Captain Phillips on MUTS last night. Loved it, and Tom Hanks too. We hardly ever watch an on deck movie due to weather, but last night was perfect. Since we have little experience, do they always walk around with pizza and milk and cookies? Popcorn, we know about, but the other stuff?

Today’s Patter has our photo on it; complete surprise, because I thought it would be there on the last day. Mike looks good; I don’t. Anyhow, today is the MTL (most traveled luncheon), and also wine tasting right afterwards. I think we are going to skip the wine and instead attend a lecture; “The Golden Age of Piracy.” Sounds interesting especially after seeing that movie last night.

Some things to do today:

1. Backstage Tour

2. Grand Cayman talk (this one is for shopping)

3. Movie: “Cayman West”

4. Art Auction

5. Movie: Philomena (will run all day on TV)

6. Learn magic with Alexander the Great (guess he’s still here)

7. Grand Cayman talk (this one is about the port)

8. “Top Gun” on MUTS

Of course there’s lots of Bingo, horse racing, spa stuff to make your body better, younger, thinner, etc. and lots of jewelry offerings.

Tonight’s entertainment are those twin violinists again in Universe, the production show Dance in the theater and World War Z on MUTS. It’s also formal night and no smoking night in the casino. We haven’t spent much time in there (or money), so I think tonight’s the night.

Marcia: he's fine. His appetite has certainly not diminished. :D

Yawn. Yawn. Hate losing an hour. Later.

And there goes another day. Would you believe I have nothing to say? All we did today was eat. Literally. MTL was very nice as usual, though we did without the Captain. Seems he's a little under the weather. Hope it's only temporary.

It's now time to think about dinner and since nobody's asking anything, or commenting about anything, I'll see you tomorrow.

Keith, thanks for adding the webcam shots.

Been checking out your live from and enjoying it! I've always seen the cookies/milk & popcorn but not pizza :) We love muts!

Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Good Friday morning as we inch toward Grand Cayman. We are very close; almost time for the first tender announcement. We of course have no intention of going ashore, as we were just here in January. Some of you may recall that we went searching for a pharmacy and then they wanted the RX to be from a Cayman doctor. I told them I could get a script from the ship’s doc, but that was no good either. Didn’t really need it anyway, just thought it might be cheaper. Probably would have been more expensive.

A whole lot of nothing going on today, but that’s to be expected on a port day. However, at 1:00 PM they are showing The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in the Universe Lounge. And then tonight they will have two showings of this on MUTS. I would think they could have found something else for the evening movie. We’ve. been waiting for Gravity, which we were told would be shown. So far, no show. I guess they’re saving it for the last night when people are busy packing and going to bed early.

I must mention this. A few days ago they had us fill out the disembarkation paper and to choose what time we wanted to get off. We chose the time between 8:15 and 9:30, and today we received our tags for 11:00 meeting timre. Why the H did they ask? Of course we will change them and get off when we wanted to, but someone or something is very disjointed down there. I’m also surprised that there is a 11:00 option. Way too late.

Anyhow, getting back to whatever isn’t happening…………..Alfredo’s is, and we might just go there for lunch.

Tonight the illusionist is back and so is the singer/ventriloquist Michael Minor. My Mike doesn’t want to see either of them, so perhaps the casino will enjoy our company. We spent some time in there last night and left with Princess money. Not a bundle, but in this case “tis better to receive.” :) Also tonight there’s a chance to Meet the Cast at 8:45 and Ye Olde Pub Night will begin at 9:45 in Explorers. Pub Night is fun, so those of you who have never seen one, I suggest you do so when you have the opportunity.

Gym had two more people today. Gotta' watch those crowds. :p

Off we go to breakfast. Catch you later.

We had this issue two weeks ago on the Ruby; asked for walk-off at 7:30, got 9:45 with luggage tags attached.

We had same problem on the Emerald, ask for a certain time and got much later.

Since we had our bags EZcheck, really could leave whenever.

Well, my mistake was to go into Elite waiting lounge. When we entered, was asked to show our debark color(I told her earlier time than what I actually had). Told her I couldn't find them. Well, she said, when you do come back up here and show me. Immediately, we went out the back door of lounge to avoid her, and went somewhere else to wait. Then walked off when we were ready, and no one asked to see our color tag.

I wouldn't try to exit earlier if I had bags because they are trying to control traffic in the terminal luggage area. However, Elites can change their time

when they get their tags and avoid any problem.

Pia, Gravity not worth seeing.

AGAIN this year Princess was voted as having the best pizza at sea. I can say for sure that on the Caribbean, and the Coral recently it was top notch and yes it is on the pool deck although I did not see anyone passing it out. You had to walk a few steps to pick it up. Great stuff to eat while watching a football game at MUTS.

Thanks for the reports Pia. We are leaving to do this route on the 17th, but we will be doing all the touristy things since this is our first time on the Coral and the Panama Canal. Not real excited about G.C., since we have been there a lot, although sometimes we just waived as we went by when the seas were too rough to tender in.

How early is the gym open? Is it open 24 hours? I plan to be there early, but may have to do time on the track before.

Don't waste time on Gravity.

Enjoy

Hello again. Checking in a bit earlier today. Couldn’t stand being outdoors much longer and it’s nice and cool inside. Weather is way too hot for me even in the covered area of Lido. Mike is happy up there reading his book. I decided to start packing and one-two- three……….almost done.

Spoke to several people returning from ashore and they said the tender ride was very rocky. I don’t care much for rocky. Lunch today in HC was yucky; couldn’t find a thing except a salad. Sounds like I need a respite, huh? Anchored alongside us here is a Carnival ship (can’t read the name) and a Regent ship. My thoughts are all running together. I apologize. I think the heat got to me.

Easy part coming up - responses.

1. Mark - gym opens at 6:00. Don’t know what time it closes.

2. Kim - A cast meet and greet is something that is not usually on every ship’s agenda. Sometimes you see one; most often not.

2a - Other Kim - A full canal crossing is better.

3. Jeannie - Sabatini’s breakfast has been nice, but not something I would want on a permanent basis. Some people have mimosas every day; we don’t like them, so have passed on them. I haven’t seen bloody mary’s at all.

4. Sunshine - Island Princess has one of the best cruise director’s - Richard Joseph. Please say hi and send our regards.

5. Gloria, et al - Sounds like I’m not missing much by not seeing Gravity.

Time to go back doing nothing. We'll be doing sailaway in about an hour from the balcony of our friend's sweet suite. :) Early wine time, followed by early dinner. And probably early bedtime. We lose an hour tonight. And we need to pay another visit to the casino.

See ya..........

Greyt Dog, Just the other day I informed my DH that the pizza was one of the first things I'd be splurging on since I've been doing the lose before your cruise diet!!! See you on the Coral in three week!!! JoAnn

Saturday April 5th and the last day of the cruise. Amazing how the days fly by. Happy to be going home; almost totally packed. I’m taking home almost everything freshly laundered, so all I need to do is start a new list and transfer most of it into the case we’re taking on the next cruise.

Last night we visited the casino for the final time and closed our accounts. We will be disembarking on the plus side. :)

So what to do today? This morning there is a passenger talent show sign-up and rehearsal. Weird. Never had one before today and at 1:45 they’ll be doing a show. I wonder if there will in fact be a show. Also this morning is On Deck for the Cure, a culinary demo and galley tour and the “fantabulous” 3 hour only up to 75% off sale. Hahaha. Remember the Piracy lecture a few days ago? This morning there will be a part 2. We slept thru part 1, so will forego part 2.

Our morning will consist of a Bridge Tour. We were invited (first time in more than 20 years) and I suppose it’s because of this being #75. I don’t have a clue how many other passengers will be there with us. Will advise.

Some afternoon offerings will be the final art auction, the final Bingo, the aforementioned talent show, ice carving demo, Mamma Mia on MUTS and our CD and his deputy talking about what it’s like to live and work at sea.

Tonight in the theater there are two shows featuring a classical concert with a string trio and later in the evening the Crew Show. MUTS is showing Philomena and Universe is showing the movie Dallas Buyers Club. We’d like to see that one, but 7:15 might be too early and the 10:00 PM show will definitely be too late. So many decisions.

JoAnn: when you're ready to get off the Coral, we will be ready to board the Ocean. Come visit. :)

All of a sudden the internet connection slowed down. I'm slower this morning too. Hated to lose an hour of sleep again.

See you later.

For some reason, which to this day we don't know, quite a few years ago, we were invited to do a Bridge tour. I think they invited the wrong people by mistake :p It was wonderful and I'll never forget it. So interesting, would love to do it again. Hope you enjoy it as much. I think Mike will.

Thanks again for taking us along on your cruise. We had a great time! :D

Pia, enjoy your last day at sea.

Seems like they stuff lots of activities that last day on all cruises.

Bet you will be in the front of the line for the Famous 75% sale.

Mike can't resist. Why we subject ourselves to the same merchandise on every ship, brought out just for the event, I don't know. People start lining up early before the doors open and the crowds are unbelievable.

Yet, we all do it. I guess the quest for the ultimate bargain is what we seek.

Look forward to seeing you there. Maybe we can have some Pizza together to celebrate. Strange as it may seem the worst pizza I ever had was on an Italian cruise ship. On the Coral it does make a difference who is on duty when you get it. Like anything some are better at their job than others.

I would like to take advantage of your experience. What have been your favorite topics at a lecture on a cruise ship. Are there any that have stood out. The speakers, agents and main office are always trying to figure out what passengers would like to hear about so I thought I would ask the ultimate passenger. Anyone else having a comment please do so. I try to present a wide range to hopefully please everyone and any new ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for a wonderful trip. It was almost like being there and soon I will be of course. Phil
