Everything.. ESCAPE (live 29 Oct 2015!)

Recommended Posts

Here's the pic I tried to post earlier where the Daily states that.

So regarding the smoking policy balconies are not mentioned in the English version? It´s just "designated spaces of open decks" and "Humidor Cigar Bar". And as far as I can read the following sentence it´s just that electronic cigarettes do have the same rules as regular cigarettes.

I don't know if it has been widely discussed here since the internet is sooooo slow it takes me 5 minutes to try to load a page, but the Escape is certainly not for smokers. I am not a smoker but my wife is and the wife of our friends that we booked the cruise with is and they will never book the Escape again.

I'm do not want to start a pro/anti smoking thing, just saying that if you are a smoker the trip will be very difficult and very inconvenient and it is not the ship for you. Neither regular cigarettes/cigars nor electronic ones are allowed anywhere inside (including the casino), and only a few outside bars. With the nasty weather we have had so far that make it not just inconvenient but very uncomfortable. The casino already knows based on land based ones that went non-smoking that it will take a 40% hit on the new CEO's decision. I'm betting (pun intended) that they will ultimately back off and allow it in a small section on the casino.

Dave,

Don´t worry, first I don´t smoke, second I´ve already been onboard.

I posted earlier that the German Freestyle Daily had a different smoking policy (including the casino and the balconies). I only wanted to know what´s written in the English version and make sure that the German version is not correct.

I had actually photo'd that page because it lists that Le Bistro and Bayamo are the only places with dress code. No longer mentions the aft MDR.

When I was on the BA with my family this summer we went to Savor/Taste for dinner and they said it would be a 20 minute wait, which was fine, but the hostess said unless you want to go to the Manhattan room. We said we were not dressed for it and she it did not matter. During dinner some others cam in in casual wear.

Is there a dress code that's different between dining rooms?

Here is another version of the dates and times.

Saturday - Supper Club (5:15 pm and 8:30 pm).

Sunday - At sea - Supper Club (5:15 pm and 8:30 pm). After Midnight (7:00 pm and 9:30 PM)

Monday - At sea - Supper Club (5:15 pm and 8:30 pm). Million Dollar Quartet (7:00 and 9:30 pm)

Tuesday - St. Thomas - Million Dollar Quartet (7:00 pm and 9:30 pm)

Wednesday - Tortola - No shows

Thursday - At sea - Supper Club (7:30 pm). After Midnight (7:00 pm and 9:30 PM)

Friday - Nassau - Supper Club (7:30 pm). After Midnight (8:30PM)

Personally, I am surprised that there are no shows available for Wednesdays since we leave port at 3:00 pm.

That does seem weird! I'm holding out hope that there will be at least a comedy show that night.

How was the "After Midnight" show?

We are on the 3 day next week and trying to pack in as much as possible, but at the same time might want a free night. Trying to decide if we would be missing a ton if we forego After Midnight to be able to do the Supper Club and Million Dollar Quartet.

Thanks guys!

This is such a clever move on their part. Two days at port and then a long night before a sea day....everyone is going to want to go out that night and with no shows they will all spend spend spend. I would expect the Tortola nights to be super busy ship wide. Everyone will be out and about.

Could it be that that's the night of the GLOW party?

Having seen all 3 shows on the 3 night cruise from Hamburg to Southampton - I would say see the Supper Club first then Million Dollar Quartet.

There was nothing really wrong with After Midnight - singing, dancing & costumes were great but it just lacked oomph in my view.

Sounds like the shows are the only positive reviews so far. I hope the reviews get better once she moves to Miami. I am really leery about NCL since I have never been. I may change to RCCL where I know it will be great on the Oasis or Allure. The Escape looks great, but NCL sounds like the don't know how to run the ship. I sure hope I'm wrong.
