Embarking from OPT

Good morning,

A few questions for those who have recently sailed on P&O from the OPT. We embark on the Pacific Pearl on this coming Monday and our boarding time is from 1pm - 3pm and wondered if boarding starts earlier than 1pm. Also how quickly do passengers board? Is it a long waiting time or relatively quickly?

Thanks,

Leigh

P&O very rarely sails from OPT. I can't even think of an instance, so can't give past experience.

However, in general, it's possible to board there before 1 p.m. so it's technically possible, just whether their operators enable it. I imagine they would as they do elsewhere.

Speed of boarding depends on load and whether there are issues. Given they don't use that port, there could be teething issues as they are not so familiar. However, if there are no issues and it's not busy, you can be on in 15 minutes best case. Times of 30-45 minutes would be more typical, and even slower when issues or very busy.

we havent sailed from OPT with p&o for awhile but from past experience they start boarding between 11.30-12 noon so you could be onboard having lunch by about 12....suite people and wheel chair people go first then its anyone

if you dont wish to have a wait get there after 12 noon to let the crowd go on first
