Rare Cruise Junky Posted April 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) Hi, we have a 1A booked for Solstice this month and we'll be booking onboard for Equinox for 2015. I notice all the 1b cabins actually on the hump are connecting. Any issue with these? Any extra noise because of the door? Just trying to find a backup in case all the good 1As are gone Thanks Edited April 5, 2014 by Cruise Junky

Just trying to find a backup in case all the good 1As are gone Thanks No problems whatsoever. They are like normal staterooms. The connecting cabins connect out in the passageway if they are used as connecting cabins. They are not like the M-Class and Reflection that connect by a door in the bulkhead between the 2 cabins. Oh, excellent. I didn't realize that. I thought there was a connecting door inside the stateroom Thanks so much
eclipse2011 Posted April 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Was on the reflection in a 1A and a connecting cabin and never had a problem with noise.

Wine-O Posted April 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 5, 2014 If you book a 1A stateroom, you won't have to worry as none of them are "connecting" on the S-Class ships.

I was just thinking that being on the hump as opposed to the side might be nice
Happy Cruiser 6143 Posted April 5, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks. I was just thinking that being on the hump as opposed to the side might be nice It might be, but being on the slant of the hump you'll have a much bigger balcony. We're looking forward to that :) just thinking about plan B in case they're gone by the time we can book onboard
boogs Posted April 5, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 5, 2014 (edited) It might be, but being on the slant of the hump you'll have a much bigger balcony. But with more restrictive views. On the face of the hump you can see 180 degrees forward and aft of the ship, but on the slant your view is restricted to about 140 degrees. And, the slanted balconies facing forward are windier than those facing aft, but you can better see where you are going on the forward facing balconies instead of only seeing mostly where you have been. rucruisn2 Posted April 5, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 5, 2014 Even if you don't have connecting cabins (veranda at least) but 2 or more cabins in a row, your cabin steward can open the balconies to connect. 1A's are great because of the bigger balcony.
