18 year old meet & greet ?

Hi we will be sailing on Independence of Seas in July with our 18 year old son - we aren't sailing with any other friends or family, he is happy to be with us but we are wondering if RCI have any sort of get togethers for young adults on their own. Thanks in advance for any info.

the 18-20 demo is in limbo. there MIGHT be a notice on the community board or the daily schedule about an informal gathering somewhere.

On the Liberty there was usually one daily event that was listed in the cruise compass. Could be trivia or a meet and greet at a bar about 9pm.

Are they able to drink alcohol at 18 on ships? I know they can on the Bahamas ship out of Palm Beach but was curious on a full cruise.

It's 18 for European sailings.

No alcohol on the Caribbean sailings. They just use the bar as a meeting place before the bar really gets busy later in the evening.

You can play in the casino at 18, except for the Alaskan cruises.
