Does any one know if there is a liquor store within walking distance of the port in New Zealand.

Which port are you talking about? There are about seven or eight in New Zealand.

 

If its the Auckland port then you will dock right in the centre of town in easy walking distance to a multitude of shops. The easiest liquor outlet for you would be the one right on the wharf:
