Casino Drinks

Every Casino I have ever played in gave you free drinks while playing. I assume that is NOT the case on board a cruise ship (specifically the Crown)?

Sometimes the casino host will comp drinks with significant play, but that is very much the exception.

it's not like you can stroll over the the casino next door that might be handing out free drinks.

Land based casinos are very large and have competition. So they need to draw in customers with things like free drinks. On a ship, the casinos are small and there is no need to lure in customers with alcohol.

The only times I have ever gotten a free drink on Princess is when I had a win of over $1000, which has happened a few times.

I would not say they r free but on carnival they offer you free drinks once you have reached 1000 points during the cruise. I have reached that level a couple of time and they do give you free drinks. Any time you r in the casino playing.

A bit off-topic, but sadly casinos here in Ontario do not serve free drinks. I think it's against the law - we have some strange liquor laws!

One time we each got a free drink...my mother-in-law and I had just entered the slot tournament, and the casino host heard that it was my mother-in-law's birthday. She "bought" us all drinks. :-)

This thread makes me want to fly to Vegas next weekend. Last time I was there, I got free drinks just for standing near the roulette table.

Only time I got a free drink at the casino was when I came in 2nd in the slot tournament. I think they felt sorry for me :)

My DW gets free drinks all of the time! ;) Why she just signs her name when the server brings over what she ordered! :rolleyes:

 

But I always seemed to pay in the end!!!!!:eek:
