Merion_Mom Posted September 24, 2015 #127 Share Posted September 24, 2015 BOGO means Buy One, Get One free. I don't know why it's not BOGOF. The expression is "buy one, get one". The seller can then detail what the "one" is. Half off, free, etc. :)
Merion_Mom Posted September 24, 2015 #128 Share Posted September 24, 2015 (edited) Hi, I am not sure I understand how it works. We are Gold members (2 x 7 days) and each time we received a $200. coupon in our stateroom. Where we lucky to get that? Our next trip is in October on Indy What is the meaning of BOGO? Thank you to answer me CLUBVOYAGES Ok, I looked at your other posts. I think that you mean that on each cruise that you have taken, your travel agent has given you $200 in OBC. There is a card waiting in your cabin telling you this. Is that what you mean? Edited September 24, 2015 by Merion_Mom
CLUBVOYAGES Posted September 25, 2015 #129 Share Posted September 25, 2015 Merion_Mon, Yes and I thought that everyone got this amount on each cruise! But it does not seem this is the case. So this time I will have only a Royal Savings Passport that I received from Expedia. The term BOGO is only used on cruising? Here in Canada I often see the term 2 for 1. Clarea: We could use POGO Pay one get one http://boards.cruisecritic.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Beachin2 Posted March 2, 2016 #135 Share Posted March 2, 2016 And the first two nights for the BOGO specialty restaurant.;) Any idea how that works for a D+ solo? One of our cruise mates is now widowed & sailing with us again next week on the Serenade. We had planned on Chops 1 night and Giovanni's on another - can she split the BOGO between the two? Not sure of the logistics.

Let me say that it is usually allowed to split the BOGO between two nights, though that is totally up to the staff onboard, and I have read that it can be refused. I suggest you speak to the restaurant folks before you make reservations.

Thought our best bet at getting a good resolution was waiting until the first afternoon when they are (usually) really pushing reservations for the specialties. scrappylenore Posted March 2, 2016 #140 Share Posted March 2, 2016 Quick question - If we are currently gold and one point away from platinum - on our next cruise which is a 10 night do we sail as gold or platinum? Just curious and wondering how that works.

You sail Gold, but no harm in visiting the Loyalty Ambassador and seeing if they will upgrade you during the cruise. I have heard of "some" people being allowed. We were booking a future cruise and they changed our level in their system so we could get the greater balcony discount on that future cruise. They couldn't do it, they had to call some one else to do it, I assume they called Miami.... We didn't ask for anything related to that next level during the current cruise, only wanted the balcony discount.
