Do I Ask For This?

Hello All,

 

Just curious If I should ask my TA to look into this scenario that has played out for my Caribbean cruise in January to see if I can get the extra OBC.

 

-booked onboard last January for a Sky Suite(S2)

-came with 123 Go (took Beverage package)

-also came with a $250 OBC for the stateroom

-looked today to check the price and while the price has gone up slightly, the OBC is now at $500....... but the catch is its for an S1.

-Don't know if there are any S2's available as they don't show.

-I know its says for new bookings, but like I tell my wife, It never hurts to ask. Right?

I have been watching this as well. I called a month ago to look into another option...But I think this does not include the drink package... So if you need the drink package then it might not be as good of a deal as it seems. I decided that my onboard booking was still the best choice.

I agree that it never hurts to ask. That being said, the price that is advertised now does not include the beveridge package so don't be surprised if the response is that they will make the change but you lose your drinks.

 

Best way to find out is call your TA and ask. Please come back to this thread and let us know.

As others have said, it never hurts to ask but be aware you may lose the drink package.

We did it last year and they said we would lose the drinks, but the price difference was worth it. We boarded and found we still had the drinks!

In my case also onboard booking, I lost free gratuities but kept onboard booking bonus and gained more OBC and also there was a price reduction
