Haven't been on Celebrity for years, so I have no idea how access is granted or shown. Thanks for the input!

Technically, no they are not allowed in Michaels, even as your guest. You may have different luck being in the penthouse and based on how you build rapport with the concierge at michaels, but in no case should you expect it.

Only other benefit that comes to mind are the 2 bottles of booze that Royals and PH already get that the other suites don't. Also on the PH, especially if a longer cruise, you have a good chance to being invited to dine at the captain's table either with captain or some other hosting officer, that likely your Sky suite friends won't You may also get other invites to things like helipad sail away and bridge tour that the sky suite may not, though I have been successful in inviting others to those events myself - but not dining at the captains table which is a true invitation only thing.

EDIT: I just noted you have 4 in the PH, with 4 I'd say captain;'s table invitation may not be as simple as if only 2, so don't necessarily count on that either - although there never is a guarantee in any case I'd think 4 in the cabin make even less likely. There are only 10 seats at the table (maybe 12?)

The SS is unlikely to get additional Captains Club coupons, escorted boarding, and VIP treatment, but it all varies, ship to ship, cabin to cabin, saiing to sailing.

Happy sailing,

Jenna

We just got off Eclypse and yes perks have started.

For CS, RS and PH on Eclypse they had Michaels Club available 24 hours a day for drinks. Some appetizers but nothing to really write home about. The Club was not used all that much in fact we only went 3 times in 13 days since our parents who traveled with us did not have a suite.

2 Bottles of booze with mixers, 2 nights in specialty Resteraunt. Reserved seating in theater on formal nights. All the benefits that Elite plus get also.

Suites are nice but we will still shop the cabin $$$$ first.

May I assume from this that they are not trialling embarkation brunch in Murano on Eclipse, as they are[in Normandie] on Summit or, perhaps, you boarded later?

For now seems the Blu embarkation brunch and Normandie embarkation brunch are unique to a particular ship, as we have not had word of their availability on additional ships yet. Quite possible it's a test to see how it works on other ships before being rolled out later, but for now it seems to be an unique benefit or a test.

Not sure what else needs clarified? If anything specific, I;m happy to reply.

As to citing sources, they are all in this very thread you started...

The link in post 3 in this thread explains most of the suite perks and aqua suites conversions.

Post 11 in this thread confirms the typo, and as well since it's now the end of May and Summit still has no dedicated suite dining room, some common sense should kick in to confirm it's a typo in that if it was to be converted APRIL 2014, THERE WOULD BE A NEW SUITE DINING ROOM. There are several threads going on here that confirm that is a clear and obvious typographical error in stating 2014 for summit is the conversion date.

EDITED TO ADD: The link to the suite perks referenced in post 3 has already been updated, no longer a 2014 date for summit. Refer to post 3 and the link for full details.

We want to visit Bermuda. The questions asked apply to booking last minute now and for next year. We printed the link before the typo adjustment. Thank you for patience in clearing up our confusion.

It looks like you'll be offered a lunch in a speciality restaurant, as the reports of this are from Summit, the ship sailing to Bermuda. Most of the rest seems to be have been covered, and there is another thread where I asked about unpubilshed suite perks from recent travelers that may be useful.

We're sailing in August to Bermuda for our anniversary. Do you have dates in mind?

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Has there been any word regarding:

1) Dress codes in Michael's and at Dinner for Suite guests

2) Suite guests having private party cocktail time access to Sky Lounge

We don't usually consider a Suite but often want daytime and cocktail access to the Sky Lounge (a favorite spot for us.) When Sky Lounge is closed to us, that's a big disappointment.

Dress code is not a problem, but during the day and especially 24/7 would be a problem.

Our friends in Quebec city are on a cruise on the Noordam from Rome to Venice and got an upgrade to a Signature suite and have posed a question I can't answer.......we have not been in an X suite.....yet.

The question is what does "No-host mini-bar for easy entertaining" mean?

Is that just that you have a minibar and can use it to entertain by paying the cost of the beverages...............Or does the new X program include the beverages for suite passengers. ALSO, what other amenities will they get with the new programs for suite passengers?

Thank you to all those in the know.

The Noordam is Holland America, not Celebrity. The no host minibar is just a minibar that is pay as you consume and is not complimentary on Holland America and not yet complimentary on Celebrity until April and only for the top suites.

Dress code in Michaels is just like the rest of the ship. Only the MDR requires formal attire on formal nights. Dinner in all restaurants is smart casual, only MDR needs Formal on formal nights - the specialty restaurants do not ever require formalwear, but of course it is acceptable to wear it as one may or may not choose when dinging in them regardless of formal night or not.

Sky lounge has no special hours or admittance for suite guests versus any other guests. It is generally open, but not staffed most of the time, the bar is staffed at hours as posted in the daily schedule that may vary day to day and ship to ship. There are several times on a cruise where it may be closed for brief periods for invited guests only, such as a special event, elite cocktail hour if they should do one there - this varies cruise to cruise and ship to ship, based on number of elites on a particular sailing. Also some groups may arrange in advance for private events and close it down. You really won't know until you arrive on ship and check each day;s daily schedule for details. There is no special time of day reserved for "suite guests"only. Michaels is there however for guests in Celebrity suites and higher (not for SkySuites).

Curt,

The S-Class Michael's club on Equinox and Eclipse that I recall was a long dark windowless room, usually empty. Celebrity may rethink using Michael's as a Suite perk which makes me concerned the Sky Lounge will be reserved more.

We've cruised on Millie/Summit and relaxed many times in Michael's on the M-Class ships. The room is inviting and open. Hopefully, the Sky Lounge on M-Class will open more often for anyone on the ships.

Thank you for answering my question about the dress code.

We booked RCL Vision for Bermuda. Celebrity is on the watch list for last minute 1st wk of April. We booked a TA on Princess for late April. Our fingers are crossed that implementations for Celebrity suites is early rather than late. The thread was helpful.

Celebrity have published the dates for the implementation of the Suite Class on each ship: 3 April 2015 for Silhouette and 13 April 2015 on Infinity with all other ships [except Century and Xpedition] somewhere between these two dates.

How many Suites on each ship are affected by the Suite promo beginning April 2015?

I check a couple of decks on Reflection, Equinox, Summit and see most Suites aren't affected as they are Sky Suites, which don't get the same perk/privileges of Michaels and MDR "special" dining.

Thanks,

Alex

All Suites, including Sky will have the "Suites Only" dining area beginning next April. I believe Michaels Club is reserved for those in CS and above.

I think there are "roughly" 24 premium (CS and above) suites per ship, and 50 or so sky suites on each ship. reflection has more of each, especially once Aqua Suites convert to Sky Suites with the Suite Perks rollout in April 2015. Not sure if Reflection's Signature suites fall in line with Sky suites or premium suites.

As noted,Sky Suites don't get Michaels, bout do get Suite Dining room. Only the premium category suites get Michaels' access.

I have just sailed in my first non-suite cabin (Aqua Class on Summit) and can say I did not at all mind having no access to Michael's, turns out there are many other bars and gathering spots on board. I especially liked Cellar Masters, and some of the pass thru spaces between venues that were quiet and enjoyable. Spent more time in the coffee shop area as well meeting and chatting with passengers and got my craft beer from cellar masters without a problem.

The signature suites are interesting. They have a seperate bedroom, cost more than CS and bigger than a CS, slightly less $$ than an RS, come with two bottles of Alcohol, get RS/CS Captain's Club points, but no free internet package and premium beverage package starting in April. The do get Michael's Access.

I hope they make the suite dinning room bigger on the Reflection. 110 Suites by quick count:

1 Penthouse

1 Reflection Suite

8 Royal Suites

6 Signature Suites

12 CS

28 Full Suites

~82 Sky Suites (including Aqua Suites)

Happy sailing,

Jenna

Thank you for clearing up our confusion.

We'll watch for more information about the Suite dining.

We read Michaels is an open glassed in area on Summit, but reads like a deep darker room on Silhouette.

The dining is more important to us.

I thought there are only 4 RS on the S class ships. 1606, 1608, 1607 and 1609.

There are 4 on deck 11 and 4 on deck 10.

So add in those on deck 10: 1116, 1118, 1239 and 1237

Those on deck 11 share the floor with the Penthouse(s). All S class have 2 PH except reflection only has 1.

Hi Jenna -

You were very close... there are 111 suites on Reflection (and 66 total suites on other S-Class ships). For the Signature Suites, there are only 5 on Deck 14 (not 6). Your counts for Reflection, Penthouse, Royal, and Celebrity Suites are accurate. Maybe off by one in your count of the Sky/Aqua Suite area. I just did this count last week to answer a different post in a different thread and tossed the post-it note yesterday. ARGH!! :D

I thought there are only 4 RS on the S class ships. 1606, 1608, 1607 and 1609.

Nope... there are 8 Royal Suites on all S-Class ships. ;)

Just noticed that this is available in Michaels. Does anyone have any details, eg times, menus etc?

What exactly are you asking? Michael's Club was a lounge on the ships that has been converted to a private lounge which exclusively serves guests staying in a Celebrity Suite (or higher) plus Zenith cruisers.
