How do you know when your room is ready?

Recommended Posts

Another first timer question. Do they make an announcement when blocks of rooms or certain decks are ready, or do you just have to keep checking after a certain time? I understand they are usually ready around 1:30 on NoS, but can be delayed or early.

No need to keep checking. An announcement will be made on the PA system when ALL rooms are ready (usually around 1 pm or so). They don't open them in blocks or by deck, but rather all at one time.

They typically announce all cabins at once.

You can tell the cabins are ready when the crew members stop yelling at you as you try to get past the fire doors. I'm kidding. Don't do that.
