How far in advance does one have to book the larger suites?

For example the Captains suite on the Sunshine?

Just wondering...just in case

AND will they allow a party of 2 in a suite that could sleep 4-5?

Fog,,we stayed in the Captains Suite on the Valor this past March. We booked this cabin about 6 months out from our sail date, and it was just myself and my girlfriend in the stateroom. We loved the size of the cabin, especially the balcony:D

I watched them on the Conquest to see when they would go just for the fun of it. Both were still available two weeks prior to sailing. It is my presumption that these are more often sold through upselling than through direct booking.

Thanks.

Just toying with the idea..booking something large

and then a nearby inside...for adult kids.

So we have plenty of room if we did a holiday again. Unless there are other perks like dining/room service/butler etc... it may be better to just do 2 large connecting balconies.

The view from that Capt suite looks amazing

The only perk you'd get with a suite on Carnival is priority boarding/debarking.

We did the captains suite on the Liberty based upon a review we read here. Quite a room (oops I meant to say rooms). Main room with a spectacular view, separate bedroom, two baths. Outstanding.

We just did an upsell for an Ocean Suite. First time I have ever taken an upsell offer.

We were in an OV on an eight day cruise at a very, very good rate. By midship elevators. I had been thinking of upgrading to a balcony if prices dropped. Currently it would have been a little over $400 to do that, when they called and offered an Ocean Suite for a little over $700, I said O.K.

Probably not the best deal handed out, but I am pleased. We have never had a suite. Once a mini suite on Princess..upgrade from balcony....but never a suite. And the cruise has 4 sea days.

Not even one free minibar set up goes with a suite on Carnival? I don't drink, but just the thought of it. I do drink diet cokes and wine sometimes. Husband is open to it all.

I am excited. really.

I also stayed in the captains suite on the liberty last November......Very roomy and as stated earlier awesome views....it was an upsell and from an ov suite, but a price I could live with.....perks were only priority embark/debark, but to our surprise we received a fruit, cheese and crackers basket on embark in our room, a bottle of champagne later in week, and chocolate covered strawberries one night.....and no, no open minibar ect lol....would be nice though :D. I am sailing on the Liberty again in august and both captains suites still available so I suspect they will be upsells as well, as mentioned earlier. we are about 80 days out.
