More Free Cruise emails coming

I got this offer too!! Unfortunately we just booked a cruise last week and it's not one of the promotional cruises. We would change for a free one but have 3 other couples traveling with us :(

My PVP called me earlier today as well to let me know about a free cruise offer - $100 for the inside cabin (I actually got into a Porthole Cabin) plus $88 taxes. Then I'll get $100 OBC on top of it (to offset the cruise price and make it "free"). No solo supplement. I booked the 4-night Inspiration for August since I'll be relocated to Phoenix by that time and the Port of Long Beach will be drivable. I asked if I added a 2nd person to the cabin how much it would cost and she told me just the $88 in taxes. So I may do that.

 

After a bunch of you asked if it was in your VIFP offers I checked mine and, of the 3 offers listed (two are casino, one is not), I don't see any offers that match what she sold me. So, I'm not sure what kind of offer this is, as she didn't mention anything about casino. And I hadn't gotten any email about the offer, so I wouldn't have known about it had she not called.

Yeah, but, supposedly, it has nothing to do with how much you gamble. Those seem to be immediate offers after a cruise.

 

I've spent more in the casino on my past two cruises (November and May) than I had in the past 3 years combined.

 

Nothing. Not a single thing. Not even a discounted fare offered.

 

Sure, I have #20 and #21 already booked, so why should they offer me anything. They seem to believe that I'll just keep on paying to cruise Carnival while they give away freebies to others. And, yes, the fact that some people are getting multiple free offers while other loyal customers get NONE is what gets me.

 

Yes, I'm envious. I work hard. I'm a single mother. I pay 100% of every single thing I need. I pay 200% for most of my cruises. Some gratitude on their part would be nice!

 

Seriously, when I get to my 25th Milestone cruise, I'm moving on. I can live without priority boarding, a plate of chocolates, and a gift I probably will give away. :(

I got the offer! I really couldn't believe my eyes. It was under my VIFP link, fare code OH6 "Free Interior stateroom! You'll pay $100 for your stateroom and receive a $100 onboard credit."

I booked the 5 day Freedom 6/30/14. I had about 50 cruises to choose from. I didnt see the $50 price unless I went in through the VIFP link. Carnival is still happy, got me for port fees/taxes/3&4 passenger and balcony upgrade.

My PVP said I have 1 more I can use, just dont think I can squeeze it in.

Yeah, I cant see that its just high rollers. I take about 500 bucks for each cruise for gambling. I got the free one last summer too and took an 8 day on the Splendor--I spent about 400 in the casino on that one. This will be my 7th cruise total--my 2nd free one. I checked the regular rate for the cruise I am taking--the 8 day breeze southern route on July 5th--the cove balcony (I upgraded to that for $80.00 per person for me and my daughter) this room is over $1000 per person to book normally. So I think I have made out ahead on this with my gambling vs free cruise ratio :):) Ironically, I am really strapped this summer, so am not taking any casino money on this one. I will have the $100 obc which is nice and will be going cheap otherwise--just relaxation

Nothing for me ... again... what I don't understand is if this is random, why are some people getting more offers than one, after they have already had their free cruise.... and i can't even get the first offer...:(

It does bother me a bit that I pay for my cruises by myself, all the expenses are mine... I don't understand it... one free offer... okay... but more than one ... hmmm...

That is the one I got also. The heading is wrong, but the legal info/dates are correct. But when I looked for cruises, I only had availability for this summer and had to book by the 20th of June...

I don't understand Carnival giving out all these free cruises. Congratulations to those that get them. I never go into the casino, so if that's the only business they value there will never be an offer for me. But my sister practically lives in there. Nothing ever for her either. Oh well.

Yeah at first I was like hey cool, but this is like the 3rd, 4th round. I have only sailed a fraction you have and think it's a bit unfair. At least offer a decent discount to every past cruiser across the board. Everyone works hard. I'm married with a family. Yes we could use a nice discount too. A little OBC...anything. I mean since they've been giving away cabins all year and all. Just sayin.

Yeah, that is the same on i got. Called my PVP right away--offer is good to book until 6/20 and good on many cruises all summer. If you put your VIFP number in a mock booking you will see the cruises that are eligible.

 

Dont worry about the wrong dates in the header--its the current offer. The same thing happened to me last summer too--I got an 8 day on the splendor out of New York for free last summer.

 

If you want it, call asap to get the best rooms/dates/ships. I booked the 8 day southern carribean on the breeze with mine today--upgraded to a balcony for $80 each for my daughter and I--Now I have something to look forward to this summer:):)

This is why loyal Carnival cruisers are not happy with the free cruises . Seriously a free cruise every year !

I told my husband about people getting these offers an he didn't believe it to be true. So we were on the Legend 2 weeks ago and he decides to go to Guest Services and ask if they are really doing this and guess what.., they denied it. Said no one gets a free cruise (or port taxes only) offer. They said the only thing they offer is $200 discount after so many cruises. I can't figure out why they would deny that Carnival is making these offers since I am sure there wouldn't be this many people on Cruise Critic talking about it. I guess they don't want to hear the complaints from some of us not getting them, lol!

Not that I'm sure he would know the answer, but has anyone asked John Heald what the rhyme or reason is to some people getting free cruises (some more than once), and some getting none - ever?

 

I would hate to bother the man, especially since he has to deal with so many boneheads, but he always says he is happy to help. Just for the love of Pete, don't mention Cruise Critic. People that do that make us sound like a bunch of whining brats. Just curious.

We're both Diamond, are going on cruise #40 in a couple of weeks and have two more booked. No free cruises for us. Congratulations to those that have received them but really it's a bit much when people are receiving more than one and most of us haven't received any.
