zorrosuncle Posted June 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) Hiu -- My ship docks in Freemantle in early November. I would like to do a hop on hop off tour of Perth and was wondering if they make any stops at the terminal. Can't seem to come up with a map of the route or a list of stops. Kiwi Kruzer Posted June 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 12, 2014 (edited) This site will lead you to a map of the Perth HOHO route. http://www.citysightseeingperth.com/carousel/slide-1 It does not call at the cruise ship terminal as Fremantle is a seperate town about 15 kms from Perth. All you need to do is leave the terminal, cross the pedestrian bridge and walk to the station to take a ride into Perth. I think one of the HOHO stops is right at the station in the CBD. Its a beautiful City. Enjoy. You also have the option of a sightseeing cruise on the Swan River either from/to Fremantle and Perth. It is also very enjoyable to get to the ferry and see the Swan river. The Ferry terminal is right next to the train station in perth, so it is very easy to get the ferry back to Freo and see the way back with a different aspect.:D

ZU The easiest way is to catch the train in Fremantle. When you go over the passenger bridge and down the ramp - turn right. The train station is about 500 metres on the same side as the Passenger terminal. It is the cheapest and easiest way to get into Perth. Get off at the Perth Train Station - there is an underground walk way - brings you smack into the City Centre - Forrest Chase pedestrian Mall (Murray Street) all the shops are there. Myers etc. Here is the link to the CAT bus routes - it lists the stops - and Perth Mint is on the Red Cat route - not to be missed. Lost of interesting stops on these bus routes. http://www.perthortho.com.au/resources/Perth_CAT_Map_2012.pdf Copy and paste the link if you can't open it. If you time your visit to one of the scheduled tours , you can watch a gold pour. http://www.perthmint.com.au/visit_the_mint_perth_mint_visitor_information.aspx

dizzy1948 Posted June 14, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) You can also have a coin/medallion - whatever - minted with your own details - it's a few years ago since we did it (with visiting overseas relatives) and from memory - it wasn't expensive - and it's just that little something special - even as a gift to take home for someone.
