Really do like the vouchers and on our last few Celebrity cruises we spent most happy hours in the Ensemble Lounge and at the Martini Bar. Had a great time.

In my cabin. Sometimes longer and some times less. :D

There was one time in the hot tub...

It all depends on how you interpet happy hour. ;)

Was there a lounge set aside for this or did they issue vouchers on recent sailings ?

On Summit it will be held in Normandie in the morning (8-10am), and in the evening, the Sky Lounge (5-7pm).

Since we had the beverage package and late seating for dinner, rarely went to the evening happy hours as they required smart casual (5pm too early to get dressed), and they did not have a bartender serving at the bar -- just the walking around servers who had to go to the back service bar to get your drinks.

You won't have vouchers, as there are never enough Elites on the summer cruises to Bermuda to issue vouchers.

Happy Sailing!!! Don't forget to watch the "Dunking of the Wench" at Noon in the St. George's Town Square.

:D:D:D. You are too funny.

On our last cruise we had vouchers for the first night only. Never did find out why. the rest of the time it was in the Sky Lounge.

We have only had vouchers once. That was March 2014 14 day cruise in the Caribbean. The other 2 cruises it was in the Sky Lounge. We go up to the Sky Lounge about 5pm and have dinner about 6:30pm. On our last cruise to Alaska there were only 80 Elite and Elite+ on board. They did not close the whole Sky Lounge. just one area between the bar and the windows.

We had both of these on a recent transpacific Millennium cruise. Vouchers were issued and the Cosmos lounge was reserved between 5-7pm for Elites, who used vouchers to order drinks from the drinks menu. There were ~420 Elites & Elite Plus members on board.

As has been noted earlier in this thread, we can tell you what our experiences were in the past, but it will have little bearing on what you may find on your cruise.

We have never had vouchers on any of our cruises. They have always been in

Constellation Lounge on M class or Sky Lounge on Solstice class. In April they used half of the constellation Lounge on our Panama cruise since it was not a huge group.

May 25 - June 1 - Summit - Held in Revelations Lounge on Deck 11 Forward.

There were only 200 Elite & Elite + on board. Most of whom must have had the drink packages as the lounge was pretty quiet, which is fine with us. We had our group of 8 to 12 so we weren't lonely.

We've only encountered vouchers once and that was on Summit - September 7-21, 2013 Canada/New England cruise - 550 Elites on board.

On our last TA in April on the Equinox, the Happy Hour was in the Sky Lounge and there was no vouchers in spite of the large number of Elite. However, for exactly the same reasons as Wine-O, we went only two times during our 13 days cruise. We also tried the Elite breakfast at the Tuscan Grill one or two times: we enjoyed the venue that is more quiet than the Ocean View buffet but preferred the more extensive variety at the Ocean View.

  • 4 weeks later...

On the June 21st Eclipse sailing we were issued vouchers. This was the first time we've been issued vouchers and we loved the freedom of being able to choose where we wanted to use them, however on a port intensive itinerary like this one we missed many days. There were about six bars that you were able to redeem the vouchers in with a variety of drinks.

The only thing I did not like and thought was extremely petty of Celebrity was that if you wanted to redeem a voucher for a bottled water instead of an alcoholic drink, they gave you a small size bottle (worth $3.50) not a large size bottle. So your voucher was valid for a cocktail worth $8-9 but if wanted water you couldn't get a $6 bottle, only a $3.50 bottle? Very silly!!

Oh yes! DH was asked to be one the Dunkers...actually a ducker if I recall correctly. It was fun.

I think you are the petty one, the crew do what they are told by management.
