Just offered a second free or next to nothing cruise with the past year!

I was offered a free cruise last fall and my husband and I sailed in January 2014. Just got a call on Thursday night offering me another free cruise (3 to 4 days), or a 7-day cruise costing "next to nothing."

I opted for the 7-day cruise for $120.00 and will be sailing next month, and yes, this one they admit is a casino promotion. On the free cruise in January, I hit a small jackpot of $5k and my husband says they are looking to get their money back:)

Well they are not getting their money back but my sailing companion, my dear SIL, loves the casino even more than I do and I'm sure Carnival will absolutely love her.

Today I received another call from another PVP asking if I was thinking of making some cruise plans. Bottom line is that I think a lot of folks will be getting these calls if they haven't already.

I don't like to answer my phone if I don't know the number. Are these calls coming from an 800 or other toll free number? I thought I had read somewhere in the past they may come from a 305 Miami number?

Sounds great! Enjoy. Question - the offer you got last fall, how was it made? Also by phone? Thanks.

Same here, is the caller ID's "Carnival Cruise Line"?

This is exactly why I asked the question above. Carnival from area code 305 has been ringing my phone off the hook lately. I don't answer because I am busy and don't want to talk cruising right now. But if its an offer like DKane recieved, well then, I just might find the time to pick up ;) I know the 305 is from Carnival because occasionally a person leaves a voice mail about wanting to talk to me. I just figured it was a sales call.

Thankfully when I got the call, my PVP left a message saying that I qualified for a free cruise. Before calling him back I checked on line for any VIFP offers and saw these listed as Pack & Play rates.

I booked an 8 day on the Breeze then he called the next day just to let me know that I can use the same rate for another cruise, so I'm doing my first Back to Back in August. I just couldn't turn down an offer that great.

For those wondering, go on line & you will be able to see any offers you have. These are Casino offers.

Just go online at carnival-at the top of the site are categores--go to the "manage" tab and click VIFP CLUB --click on my offers---put your vifp number in (you can look it up there with your name and birthday if you dont know it). Look under special offers and it will list everything you qualify for.

I have 2 booked under this offer and it's still showing allowing me to still book more sailing through August. Port fees and taxes and $100 obc.

I've booked two also and was able to upgrade to balcony for a little more. This casino offer I just couldn't refuse!

I upgraded to Balcony for July ,but inside for August . May change ,who knows ! Really doesn't matter to us as long as we are on there. Little sleep ,and shower ,that's about it.

I just found out my PVP account is screwed up!

I tried to find mine and it says it doesn't know me. Funny, they new about the cruise I took more than 10 years ago when I sailed last.

Guess I need to talk with my PVP ;)

I got my first ever free cruise offer today. It was from the casino. I got an email from the player's club offering me a free suite for one of 3 cruises. The email called the cruise an "Elite player's club cruise." I have seen and been offered "Premier casino cruises" before--never free, but at a really reduced rate. Went on one of those once and had a blast. Any way, this offer had a whole bunch of perks listed the premier cruise didn't normally have. The offer also said it was limited to 30 guests and the cabins would be awarded on a first response basis. Both my mom and I got the email, but the offer did not show up under the "My offers" section of carnival's web site. After calling carnival to verify it was legitimate, we called the number listed in the email and we both lucked out and were each one of the 30 for the 10/4/2014 sailing on the Sunshine. I am so excited!!!! My office however, is going to kill me. I am going on the Liberty on 9/13/14 and after that sailing, I am going to turn around and fly back to Florida 11 days later for another cruise.
