CruisinTeacher4 Posted July 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2014 So we are just about to book a 4-night on Liberty and I was curious. We sail Carnival every summer with our kids (now 12 and 15). They are worried RCCL won't have a fun vibe like Carnival does. They have the impression it will be too fancy/stuffy. DH and I sailed on our honeymoon and once more before kids. We liked it but it became too costly to go during school breaks so we started sailing Carnival. Would love thoughts from those who have sailed both or those who have taken older kids. Thank you!!! cb at sea Posted July 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2014 A 4 nighter will have the same "vibe" as a short Carnival cruise..no worries! Liberty is a big ship with lots to do...4 nights is not enough time! It is in NO WAY "stuffy"! Lol!
racerxspeedy Posted July 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2014 The "passenger make up" will be the same as Carnival. Not stuffy The Liberty is slightly larger than the Breeze, but will have less people and more pools, so you should enjoy the pool area more. Your kids will have a blast on the flowrider and sports area. The production and ice shows are much better than what you have seen on Carnival. The downside will be the lack of food and drink stations around the pool - Carnival has this down. Give it a try - I think you would be happy you did
