Rare BSR Posted July 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2014 Thinking about booking my first Princess cruise and have a few questions regarding the cabins. Mini Suite on Deck 8, aft only 1 left E725 Balcony, Deck 14, Lido - L202, L206, L215 Balcony, Deck 13, Aloha, A 226, A 219 and few other cabins around these numbers. I want to make sure I have a fully covered balcony and not familiar with Princess. Can anyone suggest the right cabin for me?
Donder1 Posted July 10, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2014 If you want a fully covered balcony, go for the Caribe Deck.
Astro Flyer Posted July 10, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) If you want a fully covered balcony, go for the Caribe Deck. Caribe balconies are about half covered & decks above are fully covered. Even the fully covered balconies may get some sun when it's low in the sky. If I recall correctly Emerald minis aft are fully covered unlike the fully exposed ones on Dolphin deck. Astro Flyer Posted July 10, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 10, 2014 Thinking about booking my first Princess cruise and have a few questions regarding the cabins. I don't know about Lido but those on Aloha & Emerald you're considering are fully covered & friends were very happy with the aft deck 8 minisuites. Waimea'sMom Posted July 10, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 10, 2014 I actually had D727 on an upcoming cruise and today switched it to E727 because I wanted the fully covered balcony on my minisuite.
Pam in CA Posted July 10, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 10, 2014 E725. I've had this cabin on several different Princess ships. Covered balcony, quiet and private. One of my favorite cabins and location.
waltd Posted July 10, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 10, 2014 Op I'm assuming you are not bothered by rough seas as it seems most of your selections are either forward or aft.

Colo Cruiser Posted July 11, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 11, 2014 No brainer!! Take the Mini on Emerald deck. :)
Rare cr8tiv1 Posted July 11, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Is a balcony essential? For about the price of a mini suite (not to be confused with a suite by any means), you can get a Window Suite on Deck 6 midship. There are only 21 cabins fleet wide. Grand is one of the ships. KruzPrincess Posted July 11, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Emerald mini or Aloha balcony for fully covered balconies. I'm not familiar with the Lido locations, but you can trust that Pia knows. I'd pick the Emerald mini.
