Top Floor Dining Packages

We just returned home from a Princess cruise where we had two dinners in speciality restaurants included and we booked a third night. It was a larger ship (1900 pax) than Azamara but only has two speciality restaurants. We booked all three nights 24 hours in advanced (not all on the first night) and at the time requested (not set times). It was a much more pleasant experience than our last cruise on Azamara in terms of the specialty restaurants. It was nice to be able to make decisions as we went instead of deciding the first day and it certainly was better than being told "we are booked for the rest of the cruise" on day 2.

So you are saying there were no issues in booking multiple visits? I know you only sail in suites but it seemed even suite users had issues last month. Can you tell us how you went about securing multiple reservations, thanks

i sailed from Copenhagen and after i got my key card i went to the speciality restaurant desk and gave them my cabin number.. i asked for 8 pm or close to it. i was told I would get some 830 ones as i arrived around 3 pm to the dock.. i was ok with that. i told them i wanted every night and i would cancel if not coming . i told them i would eat in Iceland.. For the second cruise the night before turn around i knew that 3 or 4 ports i would eat on shore.. so i told them what ports i would miss. . i never found this summer that it was hard. i am guessing if you like 7 or so it was harder to do. .seems when i sat down within 20 or so minutes people left.. some nights people came later but maybe they like me like eating dinner late. so for me it was easy- not sure what time others who had problems were trying for... when iget on in Jan i will let them know how long i am on for and do the same thing.. i much rather have too many rez's than not be able to get in. hope this helps as i hate the fact that we do not always agree on here.

We had no problem getting in either specialty restaurant on the 8/8 cruise. In fact we changed dates a couple times and they could always accommodate us.

Bonnie, my hope is that this won't be a problem in the future. We will keep our reserved dates and see how this developes. You have made many wrong changes to the LVC benefits, this is not to be a part of this. Unfortunately this encompasses all the previous downfalls of Azamara:

Removal of the harpists

Removal of the band playing at deps and arrivals

The removal of the guitar player that replaced the band.

The move of the piano player to the casino lounge.

The move of the art auctions into the Windows cafe

You asked what would enhance my Azamara experience:

Get rid of "the more inclusive".

I would rather pay for a decent drink package.

Change the the Azamazimg Evening Experience. Don't make any easy cutbacks on " never seen" sevices.

Get your loyal clients back. Give them some significant perks

Love your cruise critics

They only want yoir best.
