Would you take FOV 8181 or C1 8185 on Constellation

I am currently booked in C1 8185 on the Connie next year in the Med.

I just noticed FOV 8181 is available to book.

 

Would you take the FOV for the extra room, and its £500 cheaper?

Or should I stick with the C1 aft cabin?

 

I have never sailed on a Millenium class before, but I have heard great things about the aft cabins.

If it is available, do not hesitate a second. You gain a bigger cabin with 2 separate areas, a balcony that is twice the size and has views both aft and to the port side. You lose CC benefits which I wouldn't pay anymore than $100 for at best (unless you need an extra Captains Club point).

 

These cabins are rarely available for less than 4 pax.

BOOK 8181 NOW - If you can book 8181 for just 2 people do it NOW!! What a great balcony! Even better than any C1 aft. It's as big as it looks on the deck plan.

 

From the OP it sounds like this is a cruise that is "next year". Don't be surprised if X tells you that you cannot book that room now for just 2 people. It's rare that X books those rooms for 2 people this far out.

Congrats!

They cannot bump you now, the only time we have seen bumping has been for disability cabins if they allow you to book and then need it for someone who actually needs it.

A corner FOV wins over an aft CC1 any day. Larger cabin. Larger balcony. You will be spoiled forever.

We changed from a C1 on Millennium to 8166 which is the opposite corner to 8181.

 

We weren't disappointed at all.

 

Am sure you'll love the space and the balcony is HUGE.

You will absolutely love 8181. We have had it twice for 2 people. You will not lose it. Besides the two rooms and supersized baloney, you also have a private entry/hallway which gives you a further sense of privacy.
