Arranging transfer from ship to airport

We are on the July 26 Regent cruise Copenhagen to Stockholm. Air is not included in our cruise so we need to make our own transfer arrangements. Since most, if not all, of you will have had Regent arrange your transfers you may not be able to help with this but I am asking anyway and hoping someone will be knowledgeable about this.

How do we go about arranging for our transfer from the ship to our 2:35 pm flight? Simply hail a cab wherever we disembark?

Any information would be most appreciated.

In Stockholm, you definitely could just get a cab. That is what we did our first trip there. The second time, since our fight didn't leave till 1 pm or so, we hired a car and driver who could pick us up and watch after our luggage while we visited the vasa museum.

If you like the transfer service that Regent provides, you can book that once you are onboard. It is a little pricey, but they do a nice job, usually with an escort on the bus to guide and help you. Onboard, fill out the debarkation questionnaire and specify that you wish to purchase the transfer, and give your flight details. They will put you on the proper bus.

I would Google "transportation from _________ port to ________ Airport". There are usually transport services that can be private or for small groups. The price for a taxi in Stockholm can be high but shuttle buses may be as well. By Googling, you can see the choices that you have.

I haven't tried it for Stockholm, but a site I have used is Ihatetaxis.com which gives information on airports and what is available. I have used it for transportation to and from ports and found its information reliable. Just another source to check out. Enjoy your cruise.
