Ship's Tundra tour question

Tour buses and shuttle buses stop about every 90 minutes for a restroom break. They stop at the same rest areas for about 10-15 minutes.

If you want to get out and hike, shuttles are the best option. The Eielson Shuttle is the same length of time ( 8 hrs) as the TWT but goes to the Eielson Visitor Center at Mile 66 where there is an established trail and rangers, and a ranger-led walk there. There is also a bus dispatcher at Eielson who can help you with a return bus.

The TWT only goes to Mile 53. You can hop off the TWT and switch to a shuttle. You will need to print out the schedules and coordinate it on your own.
