loveysbydesign Posted July 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) So we are thinking of booking 2 connecting balconies on the Carnival Breeze. They are towards the very front of the ship on the right hand side, deck 7...one cabin back from the corner. I'm concerned about the wind and boat motion, should I be? We've only ever had inside cabins on lower levels. Edited July 29, 2014 by loveysbydesign
cb at sea Posted July 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) Since I'm sure you didn't spend your previous cruises IN your cabin 24/7, you know that if the ship is moving, you can feel it everywhere! Did the motion when you were on upper decks or in the dining room, etc...bother you? If not, then your cabin location should be fine! loveysbydesign Posted July 29, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 29, 2014 (edited) I think I am just more concerned with wind and movement if we're out on the balcony, since its right towards the front of the ship? I'd hate to pay for a balcony for the 1st time and not be able to enjoy it ! Edited July 29, 2014 by loveysbydesign
Kosh III Posted July 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2014 Go for it. We cruised the first time in Jan on Carnival Elation with a balcony on the 11th deck, (Verandah) the highest possible. It was 5 from the front. We had no problems with wind/rain except on the last at sea day when a storm moved through with high winds. There was movement but it just kinda felt like we were drunk. :)
dorisis Posted August 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2014 It is windier at the front of the ship and the wind can be cold. The few times we have had far forward balcony cabins it was bumpy and noisy when the seas got rough.
loveysbydesign Posted August 1, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Thanks! The other balcony option is Cove balconies on deck 2 instead of these other ones on deck 7. They are at the end of the middle part of the ship. Perhaps those would be better!
serene56 Posted August 7, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 7, 2014 (edited) are they the only two balcony cabins available? why take something you are unsure of. I do know it will be a LONG walk to the food and pools every day Edited August 7, 2014 by serene56
loveysbydesign Posted August 8, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted August 8, 2014 We ended up being able to snag 2 cove cabins with connecting balconies...2281 and 2283 ;)
