The Ritz would be nice but my understanding is that this particular property doesn't necessarily live up to brand. As previously mentioned' date=' it is noisy and at the end of the runways at the airport.

We stayed at The Ritz in late Oct. 2004 prior to our cruise on The Golden and I think it does live up to the brand name, we loved our stay. We stay at the Ritz Carlton chain often when traveling, we have another stay coming up in Nov in Cancun again and love them. We really did enjoy our stay here in San Juan and will stay there again if we cruise out of San Juan. Our room was beautiful, service was impeccible and dining/cocktails at the hotel were great.
