? to do during short time in FLL

We have about 8 hours between debarking and flight. Any ideas of what we might see and still get to airport on time. Never toured Fort Lauderdale area. Thanks!

Take the water taxi (http://www.watertaxi.com) - the entire loop is interesting (mega mansions and mega yachts) plus you can get off and have lunch along the way and then re-board. The closest stop to Port Everglades is the Hilton Marina.

 

Are you checking your luggage thru on the the ship or will you have it with you? If you have it with you there are 2 alternatives - go to the airport and store it at Bags To Go (http://www.bagstogo.net) and then get a taxi into FLL or rent a car for the day and toss it in the trunk.

Thank you for the suggestion. What do you know about the Sun Trolley tours? Can luggage be left at airport and then take trolley into city to tour and then return for flight?

Suntrolley airport link operates Saturdays and Sundays from 9-4. You can take a taxi to the airport (about $15). Leave luggage at Bags to Go luggage storage at airport for $7 per bag. Take free Suntrolley downtown and walk around on your own. Take free Suntrolley or taxi (about $20) back to airport. Pick up luggage and check it in.

Stop somewhere along the way and have nice lunch.
