sross6019 Posted August 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2014 We will be doing a B2B on the Allure. My mother-in-law (she will be 80 at the time) will be joining us on the second week. Can we get off the ship and go get her at her hotel and get back on with her? If so what all will we need? We have only done one other B2B and it was a diseaster get off and back on. Yes, you can get off and back on. You will need your SeaPass card, which will be given to you either the last night or the morning of changeover. Details will be provided on board. Grandma Dazzles Posted August 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Did a back to back on the Allure last November. We attended a meeting on board and the procedure was explained to us. The morning of disembarkation we met a representative from RC around 10:00 a.m. She escorted the entire group off the ship. We were checked by customs and immigration and then allowed to either re-board, or given an "in transit" card. Those with the in transit card were free to do whatever they wished in Fort Lauderdale. You would be able to skip the lines and come back on board whenever you wanted, but hving your mother with you may mean you have to join the "regular" lines. I would check with guest services on board the first week and explain the situation. You will have to go through the security check, but would not have to re-register, etc. We received our new sea pass cards when we disembarked and were planning to come back on board. RC did provide a free lunch at Giovanni's, which was excellent, for B2B cruisers. We also had access to our cabins the entire time - did not have to wait until 1:00 p.m. We kept the same stateroom for both weeks.
leaveitallbehind Posted August 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 5, 2014 Typically, as RCI considers your B2B as two separate cruises, you will need to leave the ship to process through customs after the first cruise. Once that has taken place you can come and go from the ship as you wish.
