Cruise to Alaska...Which one should we pick?

We are planning a cruise to Alaska, we have cruised many times but always to the Caribbean. So, I have a question for any Alaska cruise experts!

Our schedule has us limited to two options, both are similar with only a couple differences. The first sails August 18 and goes through Tracy Arm Fjord, the second sails September 1 and goes through Glacier Bay. I have heard Glacier Bay is great, but August weather is better. So, which would you choose?

Thanks for your help!

This year?

With Tracy Arm, I find it absolutely "necessary" to purchase the add on ship tour. This tour is grossly superior to the cruise ship transit. This will add about $400++++ for a couple.

Also, the Sawyer glaciers are no where on the scale of Glacier Bay. So I suggest you determine your priority for this trip.

We have done both and love both. We have gone 8 times in September and 2 times in June. September is just fine. So, to answer your question, if you are going to cruise to AK only one time, I would go with the itinerary that includes Glacier Bay.
