There could be a second one on a longer cruise

Hi, just back from a cruise on Marina. There were at least 2 cooking demos on board from our cruise. Look out for announcements in Currents (the daily newsletter).

The cooking demos are great fun. Two chefs, one usually the head guy, and they really like to exchange insults, jokes. etc. You are given a copy of the recipes for all they prepare.

 

Plus afterwards everyone can try some lovely food.

About 1 or 2 per week I found.

 

They can be very enlightening for picking up a subtle techniques and presentation/garnish ideas.

 

In this respect, I found them better than the cooking classes which are short and sweet and focus on the simplest things . Its not a in depth thing more of a sip wine yack with your fellow students and have a good time.
