sjaak Posted August 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2014 Celebrity sometimes offers ($$) to have a special lunch at their French specialty restaurant. Does Oceania offer something similar?

tanny18 Posted August 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2014 The only time we had lunch in Jacques was on a b2b and it was the day of the turn around. It was an invited lunch for those of us who were staying for the next leg. It was a delicious lunch and a very nice surprise. That was in 2012 and I don't know if they still do that. But there are no other lunches in the specialty restaurants. Arlene

CintiPam Posted August 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Especially the occasional lobster salad with large chunks of lobster :) Do not forget the fantastic grilled lobster you can get at the Waves Grill. I like to order the Surf and Turf sandwich with no bread, no steak and a double order of the lobster. Simple but so delicious and open until 4 PM! Hawaiidan Posted August 26, 2014 #14 Share Posted August 26, 2014 You'll have made me very happy! I'm a huge fan of lobster! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD However after 34 days, Lobster served 2 to 3 times a day. in every place from the pool grill to the restaurants..except in the bar, you get a little tired of it....even the famed Cronsky might yearn for a break It was common in the Terrace when my wife ordered a steak to have several lobster tails placed on it. They also do a mix grill lamb, steak, scallops , Shrimp.... After 34 days I yearned for meatloaf, mashed potatoes and peas
orchestrapal Posted August 26, 2014 #15 Share Posted August 26, 2014 (edited) The food during 40 days this spring became very repetitive and the quality was not nearly as good as on past cruises. In addition we do not eat shellfish or pork and we found it in dishes where it was never listed. Even our butler had no knowledge of the exact ingredients of the dishes the Austrian chef added to dishes where they were was strange at best and would not have been missed. Not pleasant!!
