MetmanOne Posted August 26, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2014 I am planning on organizing a slot pull on my upcoming cruise. Do you contact Princess before the cruise or do you set up the slot pull once you are on board? If you set it up prior to the cruise what number do you call. I have joined slot pulls on previous cruises but never organized one.

caribill Posted August 27, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2014 Before the cruise, find out who is interested on roll Roll Call. On the cruise, go speak with the casino manager who can set up a day and time and machine for the slot pull. Usually they are quite happy to do this. On one cruise we were on, the manager even gave participants a free bingo card for that day's bingo sesssion.
dmbehlke Posted August 27, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2014 You said your upcoming cruise. What ship and date and where are you sailing to see if other people would be interested?
lovey1103 Posted August 27, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) I set it up on board the Emerald. Actually, you can just show up with your participants, select the machine and go for it. Now, I don't know if this is true, but have been told it's best not to let Princess in on it and keep it a secret. The casino manager was not helpful at all. In fact the day of the slot pull she was no where to be found. The cashiers were crabby about changing out bills for the payouts. Never had this problem on Celebrity who were very accomodating and gave free stuff besides. Princess gave a big 0, zip, nadda. Our experience on several Princess slot pulls has been the exact opposite. Casino manager happy to help plan including helping to pick an appropriate machine. Also there to welcome us at the selected time. No problems getting winnings in proper bills to give out to participants.
Rare h20skibum Posted August 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 28, 2014 I set one up on the Coral. Those from our Meet and Greet agreed to a date and time ahead of time. I printed a bunch of cards with a layout of the casino and a reminder of the date and time and handed them out at the meet and greet. Once onboard, I checked out the location of the wheel of fortune machine and circled the location on each card handed out. I didn't contact the casino manager ahead of time, and yes, the cashier was a little crabby about making correct change for each payout. I set up a numbers spreadsheet on an iPad and had it calculate each person's winnings and the payouts. I found it very handy. Enjoy the slot pull. It is a lot of fun. I have joined slot pulls on previous cruises but never organized one. Hi, We just got off the Sea Princess yesterday and we had a slot pull every Friday at 4pm. It was anointed in our CC get togethers and reminders at our lunches. We typically had between 30 to 40 people. We all gave the organiser $10 and he put it on his card for use in the machine. We played the maximum lines on the $1 machine (which was 5). We then took it in turn to have 2 goes each (2 x $5 = $10). When everyone had had their turn we then cashed out what was left and divided between us. The casino staff and manager were always very helpful in supplying the correct notes to divvy up our return. It was a lot of fun and took about 30 mins.
Shogun Posted September 6, 2015 #12 Share Posted September 6, 2015 Hi All Depends on how many folks want to take part, small groups under 20 have just turned up, larger groups have told casino manager once onboard, so have helped, others could not care. What ever you do have fun, keep things simple yours Shogun
CruisingJs Posted September 6, 2015 #13 Share Posted September 6, 2015 I met with the casino host once onboard. Just my luck to get the one guy who had never heard of Cruise Critic. But it all turned out well. Once he talked to his supervisor, we decided on the best time to hold the event and he provided three Princess ball caps for the biggest winners.
