I posted this on the casino board but there is not much action on that board so figured I could post it here

I am organizing a meet and greet and slot pull for our Breakaway cruise on November 30th. I have already contacted NCL and set up our M & G. Now I would like to set up a slot pull to follow that. Does anyone know who I can contact to set that up?

Thanks for the help.

I am organizing the M&G and the slot pull for my next cruise on the BA (i believe i took over from you on the thanksgiving cruise ;)). you just make the list and after the M&G you go down to the casino, pick a machine, usually a $1 x 3 credits and everybody pull 5 times ($15) and that's it. you do not need to contact NCL at all, if you want you probably could talk to the casino manager the night before but usually is not much to do, just pick a "lucky" machine and have fun. I recommend you do it after the M&G not at other time because it ill be hard to get the people back.

Hi Carlos

Yes I know the basics of the slot pull just didn't know if I had to contact anyone from NCL before the cruise. I have a list for both meet and greet and slot pull. Our M&G is set with time date and location. I did plan on doing it following directly after the M&G.

Thanks.

You can't. I've done this for most of the cruises I've been on. When you get on board you have to talk to the Casino host that evening. I choose to talk to him/her that evening so that I can let everyone know who signed up for the slot pull what day/time it will be at our Meet and Greet.

It really is best to set something up prior with the Casino Host. Sometimes they have tournaments and it's always nice that the Host will keep whatever machine you choose (I've always chosen a wheel of fortune) free and available to you for the time you've picked. Also, the Host, if asked, will provide one or all of the below:

Free key chains, free tee shirts, bottles of wine/Champlain for the top three pullers, a round of free drinks during the slot play. They're also there to help you at the cashier to divide up the money to all players. I highly suggest you discuss with Host prior to your Meet and Greet. Just my opinion, of course.

Contact group event as suggested. They will either help you or put you in touch with the appropriate casino person. If you coordinate it with the casino, they sometimes will get you a gift or two (ours was a couple of bottles of wine). At minimum they will coordinate getting you a good machine and give you a hand on board.

Of course you can just show up, but they may have some other activity planned. This way they will make sure your taken care of.

Wonderful thank you so much. I will seek out the casino host on our first night on board. Our M&G is scheduled for the 2nd day at 11 am. I am aiming for a slot pull to happen after our M&G around 1:00 (this is a sea day) and I have been on the breakaway before so yes I know exactly which dollar wheel of fortune machine I would like to use

Thanks again.

Great! Oh, and if the host does not 'offer' any of the above don't be shy.....ask him/her for it! Some offer.....some only after being asked.

Have fun and win win win!!

I've also had the good fortune of gifts from the casino when setting up ahead of time. T-shirts, bottles of wine, rum punch for everyone involved. Just some little somethings to add to the experience. The casino managers have always been there to assist with making change and/or splitting the winnings evenly without having to go to the cashier.
