Maybe a dumb question but what is a slot pull ?

A bunch of people chip in $15.00 and get 5 spins on a dollar machine ($3.00 per spin), everyone playing splits the proceeds.

Sometimes they do a $5.00 side bet is for the top scoring people in the original 5 spins, that gets split however the person decides to run it, sometimes top winner gets all (100%), sometimes top winner gets 50% and the 2 runner ups split the other 50% (25% each).

One thing to think about is who is going to claim the winnings if you win big. The casino host warned me of this when I set up ours a couple of years ago. Winnings over a certain amount need to be claimed as income for taxes or something like that. It wasn't a problem for us, because apparently it is not required if the winner is not a U.S. citizen, and I am Canadian. (And we didn't win big lol)

So, in preparation, you might want to find out the rule, and find a non-US participant willing to claim the winnings. Have fun.

Or a big CAS player who can use their losses to compensate for the win. I've done a lot of these and never ever had anyone win big enough to have to declare it. Maybe on my June cruise.......LOL

HI.... I have set up several slot pulls in the past. and they all went well...we were usually given a rum punch by the casino, and the last two times we were given an open bar,,, and the very last time, besides the bar, we were given two bottles of sparkling wine to use as extra prizes.... you just need to work with the casino host when doing this....if the casino gives us Help with the slot pull, and we have a good bar server, I will usually take $10.00 out of whatever pot we have for the bar server...just good will......

Geri if you need a spreadsheet let me know I ran one on the 12 nighter in January I can send over to you

If you or someone who received the spreadsheet could pass it along to me so I don't have to create one myself that would be appreciated.:)

In case you couldn't see my email (it is a bit small) it is brighton_gurl@live.com.

TIA

We would love to join the meet and greet. When and where? Thanks!

Check out your very active roll call for the 2016 cruise. Looks like both a Meet & Greet and slot pull are being arranged. Meet & Greet is the first sea day at 11:00 in La Cucina.
