If it was supposed to be a "true" Canadian charter, one would hope they would develop packages for more than 6 EASTERN cities. Wonder if they thought about the west? Especially the province that drives our economy nation wide.

You mean BC? ;) I agree, let's see some deals for the westcoast

I just don't understand this kind of business model, and why a company would give an entire block of cruises to certain agencies in certain countries. It's not like these cruises can't be booked by Australians following the regular booking process.

A cabin sold is a cabin sold. If they can have a 3rd party sell them all, RCI and X save money in house by bot advertising or having agents spend time handling the reservations.

Likely the group organizing the cruises is getting perks and holding the TA commissions in house, so that's why the large agencies like the model too.

Even us commoners if we book a limited number of cabins (I think its 10 or 15) get 1 free cabin per block of cabins. So for the agencies, they can sell that free cabin and make all that more income, while at the same time saving all that expense that X/RCI would have had in marketing the cruise.

Ships sail full either way. And there's nothing stopping any of us that want to sail those itineraries from contacting the agency selling those cabins either.

Agreed. Not feeling much western Canada love out here ;) Maybe we will get some Australian inclusive deals...
