Just off the Oosterdam - My thoughts

Thanks for the report. I was on the Oosterdam for two weeks in July and loved the ship and the staff and the Captain.

The other couple merely smiled when I said, "You must have come in right before us." Neither of us brought up the topic of sharing as we probably both thought this was the norm like in the MDR.

 

Today, I did ask my DH again if I had missed the maître d' saying something about sharing a table. He assured me he had not. We both recall him asking our name for the reservation and then saying "Follow me, your table is ready."

 

 

 

I would not have been happy about being seated with others without being asked privately, in advance. Once arriving at the table, how awkward to be in the position of having to refuse to be seated with others. Even if they are the most delightful people, the Host/Hostess should never have done that to you or them IMO

 

I enjoyed your review and thank you for going to the effort to share with us. Sounds like all in all, you enjoyed the beautiful Oosterdam. She's a beautiful ship.
